In the end, this simply avoids making any decisions and offending anyone. We keep EIGHT receivers, when we need four plus a returner.

Moss, Stallworth and Welker are locks. If Jackson is on the PUP list, then we have two more from Washington, Caldwell and Gaffney. I think Gaffney is the odd man out. Caldwell is much more versatile as an emergency (usually inactive) receiver. If Jackson is ready, he'll be a returner and only one of the three will make the roster.

Troy Brown may make this team, but not as a receiver. Most here would prefer him to say Andrews or Woods, but somehow I don't think that this will happen.

Moss is a possibility, if he acts fo badly. Unlikely, though.

But who the heck thinks that Welker will have changed so much and gone so downhill in 4 preseason weeks that we will swallow Welker's signing bonus? Absurd.
