Keep in mind that he did not participate in our training camp.

The better question is when will Gordon be completely comfortable with the playbook? Right now he looks great as long as Brady gets him the ball. He may not know the playbook fully until start of next season, but for now he is the least of my worries.
Sadness, sadness goes down in Cleveland these days. They have a place there that makes it. The Browns call it First Energy Stadium but the fans know it as The Factory of Sadness. It's like hell but for football fans. As in "Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here"

"Next season" I certainly hope so, along with another year of sobriety.. not sure the Pats will be able to afford him, and thanks to their effort his value has skyrocketed..
My worries with him is that he might return to his bad habits. For his sake I hope not.
I think that you idea of CLE is outdated. They have a team that cares and is playing well. They have lots of really good young players, and they have a QB for the first time in decades. The thought is that lots of top potential coaches will want the job for 2019, perhaps including our Josh.
I don't think it will be about the money. Will he find another environment which he knows he can stay clean. Is there another team which has the QB/Coach tandem that he currently has? That combo has meaning beyond passes and TD's. I don't see him jumping ship to sign for more money. He's a restricted free agent and the Patriots will assuredly give him the high tender. Given that he's one misstep from a ban, I kind of doubt other teams will be falling over themselves to give up a 1st rounder and a big contract.
He has two 50+ yard pass plays. Really?Half the time it looks like he is pulling a piano, maybe it is his hammy but I haven't seen much explosion. For such a super freak he has looked more like a big slow WR. Is he still getting in shape? injured? Can we expect to see the ability to separate?
