Hmm..must be in the eyes of the beholderWithout the spectacular and frothy whining, there is no Patsfan.com.
I have most of them on ignore but they are a beautiful lot.

18 is pretty popular for receivers now, to use a word the kids use nowadays that number is tight.
That's an underplayed angle, that had we taken McConkey and won 2 more games, Mayo might still be coach, plus we'd have been picking 11th or 12th and outside the LT range. So we had to endure the pain to get to this point in our recovery.Yep. They could have won 2 more games, and Mayo would still be the coach.
#36 for a kicker? No BS numbers, love it.
Vrabel is running a tight ship, don't be surprised if there is a surprise cut due to undiscipline during camp.
Would it really be strange though? The Chism talk is nonsense but others do have a clear path:Some posters have 4 UDFAs making the 53 man roster. Maybe 2 if Dippre beats out Bell plus Larison if we carry 4 RBs? We will see. Injuries happen so stranger things have happened.
I think he’ll get his usual #30 by the end of camp, DJ James, a CB on the team, currently has #30, I doubt he makes the team.#36 for a kicker?
The FB and QB3 I could see on the practice squad moving up and down. TE3 is a possibility, I think Bell is a goner. CB and RB are options too. It will be surprising if a bunch of UDFAs are on the 53, but could happen with a new sheriff in town.Would it really be strange though? The Chism talk is nonsense but others do have a clear path:
- TE3 is manned by the prior regime's 7th rounder.
- The lone FB in the the 90 is an UDFA.
- RB4 is manned by a career practice squadder, just one injury or "surprise" cut from being RB3.
- Current QB3 is an UDFA.
- Our CB5 competition is wide open.
Those are very realistic potential pathways to the 53. Not saying I expect 4-5 UDFAs but a couple would not be a surprise. More a reflection of how the back end of the roster stands than anything else.
I guess we can expect some duplicate numbers once the UDFAs show up for rookie camp on May 9th.

66 is a lockLet's not forget that numbers aren't official until after the final countdown to 53; these could change. Don't go ordering your jerseys now.
Great way to look at it.
We should be thankful for Elliott’s bumbling 2024 draft and free agency or else Mayo might still be in charge.
That is a scary thought
Edelman was not easy to cover. In fact was the hardest player to cover in the entire NFL for several years. This, according to some of tge leagues best cbs at tge time. He was always open. The slower a player is the easier they are to guard. Even quick guys are easier to guard if they are slow. Chism is not only slow over 40 yards, he is slow over 5 and 10 yards. I hope he works out, but it is a tall order.
Edelman, for example, was slow but fast compared to Chism.

He wasn't just super-quick and shifty but was explosive. Meaning he could hit top speed very quickly which means he was actually running faster in short bursts than dbs who rhd much faster 40 times.
A 40 is not even a good measurable for most football players. Almost everything you do is done in much shorter distances than 40 yds.
In general, shorter guys usually accelerate much quicker than taller guys.
Edelman was also very tough to tackle because he was strong as a bull.
I agree with that. Quickness and explosion are different than speed. Chism III is very quick, less quick than Edelman but quicker than Welker. Usually people look at broad jump, vertical, 3-cone, and short shuttle to gauge explosion. The 10, 20, and 40 yard dash indicate speed.Edelman was not easy to cover.
