Not the fastest straight line guy, but what he lacks in elite athleticism he makes up for with football smarts. Brings his lunch pail and hard hat to work everyday. First guy in, last guy out…turns the lights off and on at the facility. Deceptively quick. A real student of the game.

sounds like a BB guy then

Wallis, at 5-foot-11 and 183 pounds ran a 4.40 40-yard dash and was clocked at a blazing 4.13 seconds in the shuttle.

A 4.13 in the Shuttle combined with the 6.90 in the 3-cone puts him similar to David Givens who had a 4.13 Shuttle and a 6.86 3-cone. Givens had a bit better vertical and broad and was much slower than Wallis straightline.

Wallis could be a 6th/7th WR that sits on the PS and develops or moves up in the even of an injury.

Fired up the ‘ol Cliche 5000, I see. It has fooled some posters here already.

Is his other name Morris?

Like Carter was for Parker.

His college coach: "Nobody wanted him out of high school, but he immediately caught our eyes with his attitude on the practice field. Was a big part of our success the last few years. They don't make 'em like him every day."

His high school teacher: "Came from a great family. Was always helping less fortunate kids in class. First to volunteer for less popular activities."

Another high school teacher: "Came from a rough family situation that would have crushed most kids. An inspiration."

I like it.

"I feel like I’m a ‘football-fast’ guy. If you put me on the field, I’m going to run right by the fastest of them, I don’t care what 40 they run."

Hope he lasts where he's a training camp binkie. It feels like he'll push some of the 'names.'

He came from a great family but a rough situation? Yikes! i'll need to read up on this kid.

This is a good signing. He seems like a kid to root for. Sounds like he's got a work ethic that will push hard on the high draft picks in front of him. Nobody's gonna get to rest on their press clippings.

The pats seem to be taking the old school BB approach of just throwing **** at the wall in the wr room. We now have a big mix of vets, draft picks and guys w ‚I Want to prove something ‚ tattooed on forehead.

No room for all. I ALMOST hope whoever lands on PS (Wallis the odds on at moment) doesn’t show so much they get stolen. I more hope he does show do much & Mayo is smart enough to bet on future & jettison the past (for picks if possible).

Tyquan just did that after the signing. We are going to see if Tyquan have what it takes to make a NFL Roster Mayo and Wolf is ging him every opportunity.

May the best guys win can't give a player a guaranteed roster spot just because they were a former Second Rounder going into year Three. An Injury to Tyquan in TC will be the kiss of death no more excuses. P.s. don't sleep on K Boutte he might surprise.

Small slot receiver (5-11 183) from division three in the mold of Welker/Amendola, ran a 4.5 but had good agility drills... but he's weak.

Might be a project they can store on the practice squad eventually, will be hard pressed to make this roster without injuries in front of him, could use a year in the strength and conditioning program.

Can't think of any DIII players getting signed here recently, so thats an achievement in itself. He's got the odds stacked against him though. Very few DIII players ever make it to NFL rosters. I'm guessing there were about 5 in the entire league last year.
