So much for their 6 or 7 championships they were predicting
Let's step in our time machine as best we can and skip forward 4 years. Rodgers and Brady are retired. The QB play in the league has more good to decent quantity but less top tier quality. You mention Allen and Herbert going toe to toe, But can they or anyone go toe to toe when those two are gone? Allen maybe. It is very possible Allen is a HOF tier QB who can be consistent and snap defeat away from a guy like Mahomes when it's down to the wire. But can anyone else?If Mahomes doesn’t win this year why is it guaranteed he’s winning another. Kelce will be a year older I don’t care how good Hill is Kelce is too important and than that Mahomes money kicks in. He’ll always have a bad to average defense at best and if Kelce slows down it’s over meanwhile Buffalo and the chargers are getting better by the game. Allen/Herbert can go toe to toe with Mahomes
It certainly is easier to get better players at the top (unless you're the jete) but the error comes with the thought that getting a later pick hurts in every round. The truth is that having an earlier pick gets you that one player advantage only in the first round. After that the team with the later pick chooses earlier each pick after that. Look at it in numbers and you'll see what I mean. Let's use the 15th and 30th picks.I think he means that you do not get your pick of the litter anymore when you win every year. Its easier to get a top player in the first 5 picks than in the bottom 5.
Wait, I'm confused....(Not hard to do) If a team picks 2nd overall. In the next round without any trades, they are going to pick 2nd overall again which is 34th. If a team picks 25th in the first round, they do not pick again till like 57th. So that means Team A picked two picks higher than they did.It certainly is easier to get better players at the top (unless you're the jete) but the error comes with the thought that getting a later pick hurts in every round. Here's how it would go;
15-30-47-62-79-94-111-126-143-158-175-190-207-222
And once the first pick is taken at 15 this is what it would look like
30-47-62-79-94-111-126-143-158-175-190-207-222
That shows quite clearly that the team with the worst pick is now picking 17 spots ahead on each round with an extra pick at the end.
Pats were the first team to lose a Super Bowl, then win it the next year, in over 40 years. I believe it was the Dolphins who lost to Dallas in 1971 and then won the SB in 1972. Dallas did it the year before Miami did it. Dallas lost to the Baltimore Colts in 1970, and then beat Miami the next year. So it happened two times in 3 years, then it hadn’t happened in 46 years.Rarely has a team lost the Superbowl and gotten back the next year and won.
I believe Patriots were one of the only few to do it.
Thankfully the Pats and Brady denied two possible Super Bowls rings to Mahomes. I bet Mahomes cant wait for Brady to retire already. Garopollo could have denied him too.
You have to literally eliminate a team’s first round pick to make your point. That’s little more than simply playing make believe. It certainly is easier to get better players at the top (unless you're the jete) but the error comes with the thought that getting a later pick hurts in every round. I would argue that 2014 was the biggest choke of them all. His D gave him the Ball at the Sea 23, 30 and their own 44 in the first half. That game should've been over at that point but it was "only" 16:0 because Rodgers himself got intercepted twice. 19/34 178 yards 1 TD 2 INTs isn't exactly glorious. Yes he got them in FG range to tie the game at the end, but they only managed 2 FGs in the second half. Sure, if they just execute the Onside Kick correctly, they still win but the game should have been a blowout.Rodgers has choked so many god dang times in the playoffs, 2014 NFC championship being a notable exception.
The Chiefs are paper Champs and kind of a fraud.Thankfully the Pats and Brady denied two possible Super Bowls rings to Mahomes. I bet Mahomes cant wait for Brady to retire already. Garopollo could have denied him too.

They're a potential AFC foe and it's a significant issue worthy of discussion since it does shift the balance of power in the Conference.

They are 0 - 4 vs HOF QBs and HCs in the post season.
L x 2 vs 2018/2020 Brady
L vs 2018 BB
L vs 2020 Arians - not a fan of him, but the Super Bowl win punched his ticket to Canton.
I dont see a HOFer in this post season bunch. Maybe Allen someday.
W vs 2018 Riech and Luck
W vs 2019 BOB and Watson
W vs 2019 Vrabel and Tannehill
W vs 2019 Shannahan and Jimmy Baby
W vs 2020 Stephanski and Mayfield
W vs 2020 Mcdermott and Allen
Once the team with the 2nd pick gets that player the team at 25 gets each player 9 picks sooner from then on and gets the last pick. IOW, the advantage to the team with the 2nd pick was just that one player.Wait, I'm confused....(Not hard to do) If a team picks 2nd overall. For the youngsters, The 1970 Dolphins cheated to get Don Shula and were fined a loss of their 1st round pick and were fined a record amount at the time. The reason I know this, or even care, is that Shula was the one who started the asterisk talk for the Pats in 2007. Oh the irony that they're 17-0 season is tainted.Pats were the first team to lose a Super Bowl, then win it the next year, in over 40 years. why are you counting 2 games as 4 loses? The Chiefs are paper Champs and kind of a fraud.
