What's the vibe at the Super Bowl?

From those that have been there...

Is the stadium quiet because of the corporate-types and split fan bases?

Does it live up to the hype or is it anti-climatic?

Are people rowdy while filing into the game, like during the playoffs?

Do the long stoppages in play make the game feel weird?

Is the half-time show as lame in person as on TV?

I'm psyched to go and am just wondering what to expect.

I've been to 36, 38 & 39 and am going to 42! As others said, it's not so much quiet, as cheering comes from different pockets depending on what is going on during the game. I am very loud myself, so I never thought the games were "quiet." For some reason I ended up sitting amongst mostly fans from the other team each time. The Eagles fans were definitely loud and greatly outnumbered Pats fans; Carolina fans were pretty loud too; St. louis fans were the quietest, but until the end of that game they didn't have much to cheer for! Each time I have noticed a big area with almost all Pats fans. I assume this must be the area where the team gets its allotment of tickets.

There is lots of anticipation and excitement through the crowd! Definitely no let down (of course [no jinx, no jinx] my team hasn't lost when I've gone)! And, except for the half-time show at 38 (the Janet Jackson debacle) the half time shows were great! We had U-2 at 36 and Paul McCartney at 39 - U2 did a great 9/11 tribute and McCartney had the whole stadium singing. I still maintain that no one saw the fake "wardrobe" malfunction at the game itself because absolutely no one was watching that terrible show. Until we saw the television coverage after the game we had no idea it happened.

I get so pumped up the television stoppages don't affect the game for me. You're obviously a big football fan, so I predict you'll love it!!

Now you tell me.....is there anyone out there that knows anyone that can get the ticket out of this infernal thing without ruining the ticket? My SB38 ticlet is stuck in mine and it sucks.....can the photography places do it or what...anybody know who can help?

Same problem here, it's like the ticket was glued in. I don't think there's anything you can do about it. PM me if you find a solution. Otherwise, I think I'll eventually just cut around the holder and have it mounted in a frame as is.
