What's left on the agenda for the remainder of this offseason?

lol...you doing okay?

OTs always coming off quicker than guards in every draft.
I'm fine. But reading is NOT your strong suit.
And OTs are no longer coming off as quick in comparison to OGs. You'd know that if you paid attention 2022 and 2023.

2022 - 3 OTs, then 2 OGs.
2023 - 2 OTs and then 1 OG (11).

Again, it all depends. And you still haven't figured that out. You also haven't figured out that OGs aren't the bastard child of the O-line anymore when it comes to PAY and their VALUE. You'd know that TOO if you looked at the salaries as listed on Overthecap.com

All is deflection.

Posters here know that Onwenu is playing RG and that the team totally wasted a pick by drafting a RG so highly.
Robinson may have played RG in college, but he's not a RG in the NFL. Not at 6'3 and only 300 lbs. He'll need a MINIMUM of 15lbs to be considered for a guard spot. So, right now, he's a player without a position except maybe on the special teams line.

Robinson never played Center or Tackle in College. BTW, a LOT of people questioned the Pats drafting Robinson when they had needs at Safety, CB and Edge. So stop pretending like a lot of people didn't think it was a wasted pick.

Drafting an OG over Braelon Allen who would've filled both a position of need as insurance if Rhamondre gets injured, and could be the #1 RB of the future if Rhamondre doesn't resign (or proves to be even better than Rhamondre and they don't need to resign him), will prove to be a mistake. Regardless, we need more talent in the RB Corps and are also thin there with what we do have.
The Pats have Kevin Harris who is 225. That's who they'll use opposite Rhamondre. They have Gibson as the 3rd down/scat back/change of pace.

They did add Fenwick as one of their priority UDFA and he's built very similarly, though without the wiggle and speed.

There is no telling what they have in Ja'Mychal Hasty or Ke'Shawn Vaughn. But it is telling that they haven't made a move to bring anyone in. Be it Boston Scott, Marlon Mack, Dalvin Cook or Joshua Kelley..

They could have something in place already where Gilmore won't sign until after mini-camps..
Seems like that's the deal. Gilmore takes Marcellas Dial under his wing for a year.

Good on so many levels.

I was disappointed that Harris wasn't used nearly as much as he should have been by BB, especially last season, which was his second season with the team. Every time he was given reps in a game he seemed to show talent and he overused Rhamondre instead.

Coming out of the draft he was highly regarded by some pundits I follow closely. Would not be shocked if this kid ends up being a real deal player.

Based on what I've seen..I agree.

and deflection by you

I didn't say that some/most of us wouldn't have preferred a player at another position (RB, CB for example).
========
What I did say is that here (and only here) there is no need for a RG since many people HERE think that Onwenu is our present and future RG.
=====
My position is that Robinson was drafted in the 4th as a potential future starter at RG, and the team believes that there is a need at RG.
=========
The open question for me is where Sow will play.
======
It may take all season to figure what we on the Ol, and the needs for next year, and there will be OL needs. Lots and lots of configurations will be tried in camp and the pre-season.

Guards are starting to get paid and that is a good thing but OTs still more valuable. Also, caps really doesn't help your argument stronger but if it makes you happy, keep trucking.

Not sure where you got your numbers but...

2023
1st round: 5 OT
2nd round: OT, 3 G
3rd round: 2 OT
4th round: 4 OT, 5 G

2022
1st round: 5 OT, 2 G
2nd round: 1 OT, 1 G
3rd round: 3 OT, 4 G
4th round: 4 OT, 1 G

Total sum
1st round: 10 OT, 2 G
2nd round: 2 OT, 4 G
3rd round: 5 OT, 4 G
4th round: 8 OT, 6 G

Not going to bother which OTs were drafted to be guards due to not being able to cut it as a NFL OT. No college guards are ever shifted to NFL OT. Also, remember most 1st round guards are BB picks.

All this talk of guards and tackles reminds me of a story. Not sure of the year. 1994 or ‘95, maybe.

Drew Bledsoe was the franchise QB, though even his cannon of an arm is a McDonald’s Happy Meal toy compared to Joe Milton’s.

It was summer camp at Bryant. Remember those days? One of the ball boys was also a high school football player.

So Drew, being the awesome personable guy, asks him what position.

The local lad replied, “Gawd.”

Drew was mightily impressed, responding, “So you’re God! That’s impressive.”

At least that’s Drew’s take on the exchange.

They did. Dude wasn’t even the best player available at his own dam position when he was taken.

And what is it about your fascination with… Guards… anyway?
