Kindof thought the kid deserved his own thread rather than get caught up with the Boutte aspects.
I can't say I know that much about him, but he looks like he'll be a contributor on special teams and nickel packages when he's up to speed, but we know they liked him in last year's draft and also know that as the season went on, he earned more playing time (and I think played in all their playoff games with 2 tackles against the Patriots in the playoffs.)
I'm sure I speak for everyone when I note that it's nice to hear him pledge to be "more violent"! Sounds like maybe he's got some Rodney Harrison in him!
Upon his arrival at the facility Tuesday, Reed already pledged to Wolf that he would be more violent on special teams — which was music to special teams coordinator Jeremy Springer’s ears.
“A safety that’s violent, plays fast — every time you see one of those they can play in a lot of different spots,” Springer said. “So I’m excited for that.”
