What if I Told You...

If the texts were taken out of context, put them into context for me.
I can't. I don't know the nature of the relationship between Jastremski and McNally. I don't know their history, the kinds of things they talk about, the expressions they use when talking to each other, etc.

I do know that the "Deflator" text was sent in April of 2014. So, if you're taking that as proof of guilt, then you have to believe that the "scheme" was already in place. Six months later, Brady's throwing beach balls in a game against the Jets. He gets mad at Jastremski, who in turn blames... the referees??? Why isn't he livid with "The Deflator"? Why is there no "What the Hell happened?" text from Jastremski to McNally once he knew the footballs were overinflated?

I watched it too and had the exact same reaction. A sensationalistic media more interested in whipping the public into a frenzy than reporting facts. An overzealous, corrupt prosecutor who did everything he could to hide exculpatory evidence. An angry, misinformed public demanding justice.

It all sounded very familiar.
I watched it last night and thought the exact same thing.

The parallels are indeed disturbing. 10 years later and the media still hasn't learned, actually they've gotten worse.

My favorite line was something to the effect of "There are no more Walter Cronkites anymore.."

Bless his heart, he's so close to putting it all together.

Wasn't Breer one of the d-bags during pissgate? I can't quite remember. It'd be so ironic if he was.

I just got done watching the 30 for 30 film "Fantastic Lies," concerning the Duke Lacrosse rape accusation case from a decade ago.

I realize that the accusations are much different from the Deflategate controversy, but I was struck by the many, many parallels between the two events. If you get the chance, check it out when it's replayed.

Roger Goodell is the Mike Nifong of the NFL.
I talked to @Russyracuse yesterday and he mentioned the exact same thing. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm definitely interested in checking it out.
