Wes Welker is a dirty cheater

Here's a ref tripping over himself in the meantime , today's game NYG- Philadelphia:

He was tripping over himself in disbelief on how wide open he was either.

Who cares? What was more interesting is that they are talking about moving that referee to behind the offensive line...

Their argument would probably be that the play is set up so that neither the Bucs or the ref has time to react.

Seems like that would be incredibly difficult to enforce in a wide variety of situations, if that was how they were going to call it...

Charlie Casserly is an officious little dink. He reminds me of the nerd who tells the teacher everytime someone breaks a rule at recess in the third grade. His segments on the CBS pregame show with James Brown in prior years were like watching some little kid rat out a classmate. He reported stuff about a sport as if the information he was transmitting represented matters of national security. Anyone who ever says they saw him smile, let alone laugh, in those segments is outright lying.

How hard is it? Welker spots the ref, drag (in) then does a short post. Brady would read that and time it to throw when Welker clears the ref.

Come on. How could you possibly prove that the play was anything other than a simple slant route that happened to cross in front of the official? Wouldn't they have to call a penalty on every team that ran a route near the ref if that was the case?

Did you actually watch it? It was not a slant. He clearly cut around the ref knowing full well he was in man coverage.

That bastitch! Poor Charlie must have nearly had a coronary when that happened!

They should lift the refs up on wires like the amazing flying camera and let them view the game like Peter Pan.;)

Players use refs as picks all the time. Just like they used to use the goal posts way back when they were on the goal line as opposed to at the back of the end zone.

Welcome to hte NFL, where every possible advantage is sought.
