They had an interesting game against the Giants. Their star RB Fournette hurting his hammy is interesting. They expect him to play in week 2 at this point but if he isn't 100% that would give the Pats more of an edge.

This team played the Pats to the wall last time they faced up. If a few breaks don't go our way we may not have won. Expect to hear about that fumble which was called down on the spot a lot. It could have been brought back for a TD.

Can't afford any muffed punts this week.

I hope they take it very safe for Fornette.

If the line blocks like they did vs Houston, Patriots should be able to score 20+. Just hope the defense plays as good as yesterday.

Myles Jack wasn’t down, but Dion Lewis was. I think Jags coaching staff gets way too much flak for the ACCG. They coached a hell of a game and lost to a better team on the road. We win a lot of games off teams making big mistakes and Jags didn’t want to go down that way.

Or they don't and he aggravates the injury. :)

Can't wait for this one. I'll be at this game. Expect Gronk to be doubled and get a healthy amount of Ramsey during this one. I'm expecting Bouye to cover Hogan and Hogan to not do much of anything in this one. This should be a big game for both Burkhead and White in the passing game.

I was literally in the process of posting a thread with this same title. Way to take the wind right out of my sails. If I can't get credit for it, then what's even the point? ;)

What I find interesting: tracking the media narrative around this game. I'm sure for the Jaguars, this is the AFC Championship part II, and the various media outlets will opine endlessly about the storylines associated, blah blah blah. For the Patriots, this is just another game, albeit against a tough opponent. I expect the Patriots to be prepared and disciplined.

Bortles put up very similar numbers to Watson last week, and I expect we'll see a similar game plan -- force Bortles to throw to his second read, get a lead, then bait them into finding success with the run to burn the clock for us. Chances are that the score will look fairly similar, as well.

Dorsett may be the X-factor, as I'm sure they'll key in on Gronk and hit running backs on their way out into pass patterns. A quick route runner who can separate vs man may be essential to unlocking the passing game.

Anoter though test against a great opponent, way better than Houston.
Calais Campbell was absolutely on fire yesterday against the Giants so we need a great performance by Waddle/Cannon duo.

Jaguars will act like it’s the Super Bowl like the Panthers did in 2005. The Pats O-line will have a very tough test ahead as well as their WR’s/TE. Look for the Jaguars to wear all white and make the Pats wear their home jerseys. This Jaguars team reminds me of the Dolphins in the late 90’s-early 2000’s.

To those who will or have reviewed Jags/Giants - what did the Jags' offense do once Fournette was sitting? Did they throw the ball at all? If Fournette is limited, where are the threats offensively?

Their WR corps looks to be among the thinnest in the NFL:
    Donte Moncrief
    Keelan Cole (2nd year)
    Dede Westbrook (2nd year)
DJ Chark Jr (Rookie from LSU)
    Jaydon Mickens (2nd year)

    I will be there too!

I am always bad luck when I go to games near me in Miami, so I will flip the mojo around at a different site.

In fairness, it was Ereck Flowers that Campbell was abusing. But yes, he is very talented.

No, not at all. I went for the game in 2012 and it was fine.

What stands out to me is how fast those receivers are. Even Cole, who didn't test as well as Moncrief, Chark, or Westbrook (4.3 type players), shows a lot of quick separation ability. I don't have a ton of faith in Bortles, but our corners need to stay disciplined against those speedy receivers. The secondary seemed to do a great job communicating and preventing big plays downfield last week, but they can't lose focus against the Jaguars. Bortles has some gunslinger to him (for better or worse).
