This was before I was on the forum, I wanted to see what you all were saying during 28-3 and jeez Most of you obviously thought it was over but some of you thought we were going to get blown out like the broncos in SB48. I remember I stopped watching it at halftime but turned it back on when we got a touchdown.

I remember when it was 28-3... I said to my son, “They can still do it... but they’ve gotta shut down the Falcons the rest of the way.” Even when Gost shanked the XP, I thought... down 19. That’s 3 scores.

Man, we have had it GOOD. :)

I graduated from the same high school as Falcons K Matt Bryant (though we weren't in school at the same time) and we've spoken multiple times over the years. I used to see him at the gym from time to time before he had a full time kicking position with Tampa Bay.

So when the Pats were down 21-0, and especially 28-3, I was at peace. I certainly wanted the Pats to win, but I just figured it wasn't there day, and I was happy that someone from my town was going to have a ring.

I refused to get excited when the comeback started. I wasn't being negative, just wasn't going to get all excited for what probably ends up falling short. I mean, what are the odds?

Not until the Amendola catch in OT. At that moment, I realized "Oh my God, we're going to win this game!" Still so amazing.

Go back and read the SB51 game day thread on opposing team forums when it was 28-3 and the comeback began.
    Jets, Steelers, Bills etc .
    Delicious.
Although there was some pretty disturbing posts on the Jets forum if I recall. Lol.

My brother and I are the ever optimists and although we thought they were running out of time we still felt like it was still possible. I went with him outside while he was letting his ailing dog do her thing and my nephew came out and said, " Hightower just strip sacked Ryan ". After that it was on.

After watching Brady and crew do their thing all these years I almost expect something magical to happen now.

I was at the game and was honestly thinking about leaving early, but at halftime some kid told me we were going to come back. I then thought, "Why not, we have a shot with Belichick and Brady"...Boy, am I glad I stayed, unlike Mark Wahlberg who had a "family emergency."

I was on GTD all game.

In all modesty, I was the KING of staying positive and believing we could do it.

Took all kinds of abuse for it. But everything turned out okay.

Down 25 points in a Super Bowl where seemingly nothing is going their way and a historic comeback is required just to force overtime. You can't fault people for being pessimistic. What unfolded, we may never see again.

When it was 28-3, I stopped drinking beer, and cracked open a bottle of Maker' Mark. They kept scoring,so I kept drinking. It was a great finish, both the game, and my sobriety. Actually, even with the drinking, I was pretty alert through the game, and afterward during the ceremonies, though my wife said my volume kept rising, both me hollering, and raising the TV volume. The only thing I did wrong, apparently, was try to stand up afterward. I don't remember that part, but my wife did. I woke up asleep on the floor, with a blanket dropped over me. Sigh.

But no matter the score, I stick around and watch. I wear the laundry, and I'll be faithful to my team as long as I have breath.

At 28-12 I could envision something, but at 20-28 and after the Jones's catch, I started to get Tyree and Kearse syndrome and my stand became shaky, very shaky. Then Trey happened and I got

I'm afraid to know what I said. I was under-the-influence of cupcakes.

I was watching the game with the kiddos and I do remember consuming 5 chocolate raspberry cupcakes with cream frosting my daughter made at 28-3, 28-9, 28-12, 28-20 and 28-28.
