Week Two MNF: Steelers at Bengals

I still firmly believe that Kurt meant no harm by those statements and truly wishes the Pats well. Kurt's a nice guy and not out to get everyone like some may believe.

Anyways we will just agree to disagree.

What Warner is asking for is more investigation to get more thorough information, so he and others can make a more informed decision, rather than just seeing what they want to see and believing what they want to believe because it is emotional gratifying.
Give it a try.

Iam sorry to ask this but what is your allegiance towards warner that you are so bent on defending him as an awesome guy. Iam not saying he is a bad guy but what are your reasons for being such a Warner fan ?. Dont tell you are just being objective/rational football fan because I have a clue why you might be defending him to the hilt .

Yes, he wished the Pats well... Well, as long as the league final exposes that they are frauds and he really won the Super Bowl in February of 2002.

Warner is a Christian, and speaks openly about his faith. Ergo, he HAS TO BE one of the good guys.

See?

I think the point of Warner's "it would have been different today" comment was the rule changes that went in place to favor the passing game. Not all, but much of the tactics used by the Patriots to defend the Rams in that game are flags today. When you see 4 QB seasons beat Dan Marino's passing yardage mark in the last few years, it's hard to disagree that the Rams offense would have been tougher to defend the same way. That is all.

I think he means no disrespect by his comments but like many people I think he bought into the uninformed opinion of what what spygate was all about and based on his twitter comments from the past I think he actually does wonder about the walkthrough tape.

I'd still love to know what haters think could possibly be on those destroyed tapes that isn't anything we already know and what could be so damaging to the team and the NFL that the league would have to cover it up.

I disagree with you. Kurt has been nothing but a class act. How you can say that Warner is bitter and would not wish the PATS well is beyond me. I truly feel Kurt is not bitter and wishes the Pats well.

Does he go to the same church as you?

We know what the haters think is on the destroyed tapes: Belichick-led plots to blow up the Liincoln Memorial and Statue of Liberty, NE players and other personnel beating their wives/girlfriends and rampant pedophilia. No big deal...

I'm impressed with the Bengals DLine.... all 2nd-3rd rounds picks, but one of the best in the league.

We've had so many busts in the 2nd and 3rd rounds on defense.

I wonder if the Steelers still have Dr Rydze on their speed dial.

Funny how quickly that story went away. I think it's in their best interest that it did.

Sorry, dude. The FACTs trump all.

Kurt Warner still wonders whether Spygate tapes helped Patriots in Super Bowl - NFL - Sporting News

"...I simply say that because to know that there was evidence out there, that there were tapes out there, but no one ever got to see the tapes—the commissioner or whoever decided they were going to destroy them from what I understand—and so it continually leaves the question.”

Wrong. There was NO evidence a pregame practice taping. NONE The tapes destroyed were of INGAME SIDELINE DEFENSIVE SIGNALS during the 2006 and 2007 seasons.

Over 11 years later, this SLANDERER falsely mixes up to the media the illegal taping of INGAME SIDELINES DEFENSIVE SIGNALS with SECRETLY VIDEOTAPING CLOSED PREGAME PRACTICES.

In the winter of 2008, (more than 5 years before this Warner interview) The Boston Herald had to issue a front page apology for the libel of the pregame SB 36 story.

He knows better. That is intentional slander.

Cat, I don't know any belief system that calls that a "class act".

"Believe".

Keep ignoring facts that are right in front of you.

Do YOU "believe" the completely groundless allegations of illicit pregame practice videotaping by the Patriots of the Rams? Allegations that necessitated a front page apology by the originating newspaper three monhs after the fact under threat of a massive libel suit? (5 years BEFORE Warner repeated such libel?).

Spreading a known libel is not "OK" no matter how sweetly a fraud smiles.

I wonder what he thinks of this story. Perhaps it was his team that benefitted from illegal spying on the Patriots before that Super Bowl.

PRO FOOTBALL - NOTEBOOK - Brady Says Ankle Is Fine - NYTimes.com

Halfway through practice, Patriots' linebackers coach Pepper Johnson noticed something in a third-floor window of a house next to the field.

Club and league officials said a telescope was clearly visible in the window, according to a pool report, and that 15 minutes later, a person appeared at the window, and then vanished.

Officials scanned the window with binoculars, but the person never returned.

I think it's interesting that "league officials" knew about this... and did nothing.

And somehow the Patriots titles are tainted for doing something that was completely within the rules at the time.

Gotta love Patriot hater logic.

Evidently, to CC, KNOWINGLY libeling and slandering is next to Godliness.

Let's not get carried away.

Let's also not forget Warner is not exactly the only player who bought into the uninformed view about Spygate and/or believes the lie that they taped practices or the walkthrough. Even a certain former US senator (RIP) believed it.....

It's too bad that people want to believe a fabrication but it is what it is.
