Week One NFL Game Thread

I heard a local station yesterday talking about the game, and one guy was adamant that this Cowboys team was going to be dominant and hang 40 on the Giants.

Funny thing is though as garbage of a team the Giants are I don't think anybody wants them in the playoffs. I'm done with those ****ers. Hopefully Coughlin hangs it up after this year and the flukes stop.

Exactly, it was bad enough for him he was in garbage Jersey but now he's been banished to Buffalo. All the time he used to spend on his defense will be spent trying to shovel his driveway. Career killer.

Giants are crazy for paying Ben Vareene that kinda money. I love the guy but he's not a good enough runner to command that dough. Dion Lewis looks to be a steal. Much better runner from what we've seen so far.

Ben Vereen (lol) was one of those guys that would have a huge game and everyone would slightly overrate him. I liked Vereen, don't get me wrong, and we probably would not have won the SB without his plays. But he was not worth the kind of money he wanted, so I'm glad we let him walk. I think Lewis is far more dynamic. With all that said, he was a hell of a teammate and everyone loved him in the locker room.

Vereen is a great receiver who can play RB. He can make very smooth catches and run routes. Perfect for hurry up offenses and short passing game. Not a 3 down back anyway.
