Good luck to them handling Crosby. Dude was a beast on Monday night.
Yeah and he'll have 110 QB rating against us on Sunday. But yeah he sucks according to Pats fans.

Who - Crosby? He's not a QB. Or do you mean Jimmy?

Another tough matchup (really shouldn’t be, this team is really not good under jmd). But jmd seems to own bill and mac is one if the few qbs they did well against in a pitiful 2022 season for them. Crosby is licking his chops. Oh well, if we do lose again this could put us on a very realistic track to land caleb or drake as it likely means 1-7.

Lol just reminded myself we’re a 10 win team last year if we could have beaten these clowns or the bears who were even more pathetic.
JMD might tank for BB which would take the heat off for a bit.

BB could give JMD a deal on a player trade this offseason.

I feel like Josh’s seat is probably as warm as Bill’s though if Vegas has another losing season

This week is "backyard football" time. Nothing to lose, throw it all out there.
I want Bourne, Boutte, TT / Reagor, and JJ - throw quick, throw slants, RB/WR screens, and bombs. End arounds, double pass, jet sweeps...
Mac in shotgun all day long. 2min offense.
They have to try to wear out the DL, because our OL sucks so bad. So it's time to just play college ball and either live or die.
But if they die, I at least want entertainment. Go down shooting.

Raiders have played: Broncos, Bills, Steelers, Chargers, Packers
Patriots have played: Eagles, Dolphins, Jets, Cowboys, Saints

Fair to say our competition has been far better than the Raiders thus far. Let's see what happens.

I think it's clear Mac will start again. They're brining TT back, and probably activating Boutte. We'll get to see if Mac can utilize the quicker guys and make something happen. If he completely fails again then maybe they plan for a change.
This also depends on what joke of an OL they roll out there.

FWIW, Thornton was able to get open last year fairly frequently. And his biggest issues last year when he played was fundamentals like slowing down on routes to look back for the ball and not knowing how to work the sideline right. Maybe, just maybe, he can be a guy who can at least give Mac a place to throw to where the receiver is open on a regular basis.

The Pats are going to see Cover 1 all year until Meyers plays they find guys that can get separation and open downfield. I think the Jets used it first vs our offense and the Pats so far have no answer. Hope TT is a start.

Stories are heating up with Kraft upset with the Pats current situation right before the Raiders game. This is a must a win for Bill. If you think it's ugly now, it's going to get real bad with a loss on Sunday.

i can't wait the gossip on sunday night/monday morning

Letting Meyers go was a mistake but it didn't need to be a catastrophe. The catastrophe was signing a crippled Juju to replace him.

Soon, he's going to call up his rich friends to come to a game and they'll be mysteriously busy that Sunday.

"Hey, Jon Bon Jovi, this is you buddy, Bob...Bob Kraft...I was calling to see if you'd be interested in seeing the team play...oh, you're busy. No that's fine I understand. I just you turned me down the last three times I called"

Just wonder what the Krafts are thinking just now , would love to be a fly on the wall.

I think he's more upset with what's going on in the Holy Land right now.

I think it's safe to say a lot of people are expecting Bill to be fired at the end of the year. Hearing that Kraft's mad isn't really going to do anything. Either he lets it go all year and fires Bill then or he makes a coaching change mid-season, which only makes sense if you think you have the players to win out. Does anyone think that with a different coach, this group of players who are left healthy are winning out?

Bob doesn't like getting embarrassed and it was a bad look going 2-4 vs Parcells in the late 90's with one of those wins almost losing to a punter playing QB and barely beating them in 1997 in OT.

Bill losing to McDaniels for a 3rd straight time, 0-2 vs Jimmy and now the Meyers situation will infuriate Bob so much he will have no choice but to visit the Orchids of Asia day spa for relief.

I personally dislike the fact that they're still starting Mac, but at the same time, if they can get him turned around and playing well, he will really appreciate that they stuck with him despite his screw-ups and the world saying to dump him. And IF he does get right and play to at least a league-average level, that helps the team significantly. They might still be able to build around him next year. It's make or break for him. The easiest pathway back to contention for the team would definitely start with the QB they already have getting it together.

I have absolutely no interest of having Mac Jones next year. The only thing that we’ll do is hold the team back from getting better.

We are not in contention anymore this year and even if Mac does get it together, it’s still not a contender level QB.

If Mac is still on the roster next year that mean the Patriots are not in the business of winning games.
