We need to get more speed. I'm pissed watching every other team have RB's that can burst.
I still don't get dumping Strong after 1 year? He was the leading rusher for the Browns yesterday (albeit only 27 yards).
27 yards? That's not worthy of a "leading rusher" type of statement. While I agree that I would have liked a longer look at the player, pining for a player with 6 touches and 27 yards is just... I dunno man... If you told me he was Devon Achane maybe I would join you in bashing Bill for letting him go. I think you lose credibility when you say "look at the leading rusher for this team" and he's got 27 yards. To your credit, you owned it.

I agree we need more speed.

Will be looking for a bounce back week from Rham this week... he had a case of the drops yesterday, catching only 1 pass, and there was some tough sledding against the dline... yesterday i said to my self if he wants to be a 1000 yard back, he might have to carry the ball 1000 times...

from what I have seen, the cowboys aren't great vs the run... so I am hoping he does a bit better

and we are going to have to wait and see of mac can start making the throws that push the ball down the field a bit more... let the receivers get some of that yac flowing... maybe develop a rhythm on offense for a change besides *cough*cough*sputter*kick*

Statement game for Bill the Coach. Finally beat a good team with a good quarterback. A win could really set the tone for the season. It's all right there. But the conservative play calling on offense isn't going to cut it on the road vs Dallas. No risk it, no biscuit. If they manage to win 17-12 I'll eat crow, but its going to take touchdowns to win Sunday.
The same is being said by the media for Dallas. They can't look past NE, because they have San Francisco next.
I'd take Cooks back at least. He'd be cheaper and he's not doing much in that offense so far this year.
Don't think they should have sent him packing after SB52.
Even though he had 1,000 yards in his only year in NE, he clearly looked uncomfortable in the offense. Cooks is a deep threat that can't fight off defenders and Mac isn't a deep thrower. It wasn't a fit in 2018 and wouldn't be now.
IF the Pats OL can open up some holes in the running game we are in business. Is it just me or does Rham look a little slow?? He moved much faster last year.
He looks like he's put on some weight.

A lot will depend on who gets back from the injury list. The Cowboys hoped they could rest their dinged up OL vs the Card and learned the cold hard truth about playing with a banged up OL. They scored just 3 more points than the Pats in a 12 pt loss. I'm assuming most if not all of them will be back for next week. Strange might be a different story. Time will tell.

I've seen the Pats play in NJ and it is a far easier place to play than in Dallas. It will be loud in Dallas and NOT and welcoming place. But the game plan remains the same.. Run the ball for 150+ Win the TO battle. First to get to 20 wins. Almost sorry that the Cards beat them.

BTW- if you thought the Jets game was a coaching mismatch, wait til you see this one.

I actually liked what I saw in Mac in the 1st half of the Jets game before they played not to lose. After crappy weather for the Eagles and Jets games, I'm excited to see what this offense can do in the dome. Once the line gels, Mac's experience with having to get it out QUICK the 1st 2 games will help him. That and more time with JuJu and DD.

Also, I hope it isn't one of those games where the offense finally clicks but then the defense sucks. If the offense can't score more than 15 points again, though...

According to BB, are we still in preseason?

I'm headed down to Jerry's world to catch the game live this Sunday. Last minute flight.

Any tips?

Pats gotta rush for least 150 to have a chance to win. Everyone knows about Dallas edge rushers but I don’t think they’re stout up the middle, Pats need to take advantage like AZ did.

Also can’t get down big early and have to continually pass to get back into the game. Plays right into Parsons causing havoc.

OC BOB needs to call a good vertical game unleash Douglas and Boutte. I haven't been impressed with his play calling so far. How is your Best WR Bourne playing less snaps than Juju especially??

Bill needs to bench juju and play more Bourne/Boutte/Douglas.

Sure Boutte/Douglas might make mistakes but. They at least have some upside and play ability.

Evidence is starting to mount the pats started the season playing two top 5 teams. The eagles are averaging 451 ypg outside week 1 (251 yards vs. pats). The pats held the dolphins to 24 points without their #2 & #3 CB.

Trent Brown has been pretty good this season - 98.3 pass block efficiency (13th/63), the interior OL is healthy & they may found a RT in Lowe that isn't a turnstile. Considering the rest of the schedule isn't what it appeared earlier winning this game would change their season.

I think the H Henry/Pharaoh Brown TE combo is very solid you can run a lot of things from that package. Teams can't sleep on Pharaoh in the passing game.
