Week 2 at Jaguars ... hotel?

Thinking about heading down to catch Pats vs Jags in Week 2 with some friends. Never been to Jacksonville before. Anyone who has been or is going this year have any recommendations for hotels? Anything you know about the area or going to a game there would be a big help for planning. Thanks!

I live in the area. Stay away from downtown if you want to go out after the game. Look near Riverside and J. Turner Butler Blvd eastbound. If you're not looking to go out after the game, definitely stay downtown. There isn't anything to do down there anyway. If you are looking to go out after the game, stay in Jax Beach. It's a drive from the hotel to the stadium, but well worth it.
