Just as I always argue in those threads, going for 2 there is the correct call. Now you now how many possessions you need, and that you don't need a crazily aggressive scheme or onside kick.

It isn't stupid at all. If you have a team that requires "momentum" and missing the 2 pont conversion causes them to not play as hard, then you have other problems. Down 15, scoring a TD, going for 2 on the first touchdown is absolutely the right call logically. It's better to know as soon as you can whether or not the 2 point conversion will succeed or fail.
