***Week 18 Betting*** Dingleberry Casino

Thanks. That's the way it goes. 14 weeks of great progress and 3 weeks of utter disaster.
I'm the other side of that coin. I had mostly disasters for 3/4 of the season but I've been on a roll lately.

We made it. Following Sunday night's game, we will crown the inaugural Champion. Below you will find the current rankings/bank rolls, this weekend's lines, Patriots prop bets. and a breakdown of teaser bets. Good luck everyone. I hope we see a lot of aggressive attempts to finish first, but I also hope to see as many as possible in position to bet the playoffs through the Super Bowl.

I will post regular season results on Monday next week along with how the playoffs will be run. Then it will be a race to crown the first playoff champion. Everyone who qualifies for the playoffs has a shot at going on a run and winning come the end of the Super Bowl. The official playoff betting thread will be up by next Thursday. Another reminder to please quote your own last post when making new bets or editing old ones. It makes life a lot easier on venecol and me.

Thank you to all for playing. It's been fun.

Thanks for putting in the time and effort. It's been fun.

If I'm reading this right you're going to crown a champion after this game and then move on to the playoffs, which has a minimum bankroll of 50K for each player. That means that I would have to risk it all this last week to have any chance of finishing in the top spot. If I do that and lose I'm out of the playoffs.

Correct. So you should weigh the odds: Better chance of winning regular season with an all I bet, or better chance to make it to #1 after 4 weeks of playoff betting.

Playoff betting (especially the SB) will also have lots of prop opportunities.

I think after it's all over, it will be a fun argument which title is more prestigious.

With your bank roll, you are at the 40 yard line into a strong wind, and it's 4th down. Attempt the 57 yard FG into the wind, or play it safe and punt. An all in winning bet could win it for you. But you also have a healthy bank roll for a playoff run. Tough call.

Definitely carries over. I wanted to make it like the real NFL season...your regular season performance gives you an advantage (or not) in the playoffs.

Thought so, just wasn’t certain.
Gives me more reason to bet the (make believe) farm.

Let me tell you all about my favorite betting memory.

I had put a few $$$ on the Dallas Cowboys -5 in the 70's. As the game went into OT Dallas won the toss and got the ball. Whoever scores first wins. Staubach goes back to pass and hits Drew Pearson with a bomb to the 2 or 3. Landry then decides, on 2nd or 3rd down, I forget which, that they should just kick the FG and kill me on my bet. Damn if they didn't fake it though, and scored a TD to cover. To this day I appreciate Dallas a tiny bit because of that great call, which fooled everyone.

Today Chiefs -10 20000
Dallas -5 15000
