Regarding the amount of snow plowing done at halftime:

I know that I have seen in years past, where a stadium was able to plow all, or nearly all of the field during those 15 minutes.

But in recent years that rarely happens. Five and ten yard lines are plowed while the rest remains snow covered, creating a more aesthetically appealing appearance.

Networks want to keep their commercial advertisers happy.

The two most recognized NFL commercial endorsers are Mahomes and Rodgers.

By pure coincidence those two are on teams headed to a bye, and favorites to appear in the Super Bowl.
