I think the running game might be a lot better if James Develin wasn't on IR as well.

Good point, I completely forgot about Develin. I bet Blount misses him.

At the very least, Collins and Amendola are very likely to play, I would guess.
Hightower is the one that surprises me though. Seemed like the consensus would be he'd be a out for a few weeks.

Not disagreeing but that's kind of the Patriots' choice, Develin is fine but he's not the Gronk of blocking FB, if we missed that role so badly we could sign a viable blocking FB off the street. We've had one on the PS for half the season.

Possibly, but it seems to me like the Patriots only keep a "pure" FB when it's someone really special. It seems like a role they like, but only if they've got a really good one to fill it. It's still a weapon they wish they had.

I was hoping Amendola get the Eagles game off but that was before the Gronk injury. Hard to imagine Brady playing without all Three even if it's against a High School Football Team like the Eagles thoughts....

Develin is a very good run blocker but will never be confused with Sam Gash. What made him valuable to the team was his ability to catch the ball, pass block, go in motion and be a core special teamer.

FWIW I do think they miss him in the running game.

My guess is that 2.5 out of those 4 will play.
Now maybe you mean say Amendola and Collins play, Easley doesn't, and Hightower plays limited snaps?

Still no Easley...so looks like a no go for him

so hightower's out there with a sprained mcl???
and no gronk...just odd

I don't want Hightower out there just yet either.. a sprain is the over stretching of a ligament, so if you dont let it heal enough it can lead to a worse injury

Gronk's is more about pain tolerance than reinjury, but the dude just had his knee blown up 5 days ago, so he gets a pass for at least a week

I'm still shaking my head at Shaq's. He had his freaking hands under the DL's pads.

I've never played OL but my understanding is that is how you are taught.

Yup, as someone that played LG, TE and FB you're taught to get your hands on the inside of their body under their pads..

It was one of the many ******** calls in that game which killed our drives and forced a punt

...and IIRC that was on the long pass play to Martin. Arrgghh!
