They won't because they don't actually care. This is the problem. They revolted against McDaniels because he was being a prick to them. Mayo doesn't care, and the team doesn't care either. No one gives a **** and no one is going to revolt. The locker room has long ago been lost, but it isn't outwardly obvious because it isn't manifesting in an aggressive way.
This is what happens when you have your coach and General Manager saying that wins and losses were not important before the season even started. Wolf wanted to use this year to evaluate the roster. That is impossible to do when no one gives a ****. At least the players have transparency.

This should be the last chance at a win this year. It is set up as well as it could be for them. The only teams the defense can stop are teams with crappy Qb's which Colts check that box. It is at home so maybe the line will not false start. Colts have lost 4 out of 5 while barely getting by the Jets.

Colts defense is middle of the road NFL defense. Same on offense though worse with Richardson.

On a positive note for them they need this game badly to have any hope of a playoff spot.

Colts have a bye and then go to Denver after this game but then play weaker teams Titans, Giant, Jaguars after so they have to have this game. They also have a running QB which Pats struggle to contain generally.

Leaning Pats right now just because the better QB is on our side but the coaching disadvantage is a bit scary.

You know there's a major problem when armchair QB's on this board can see the OL has stunk for years, but they (Wolf) didn't think it would be going into the season.
he had a good rookie season.. everyone got excited

Agreed and I think Pats do win this one for those reasons.

Maybe they will get a banner for winning against their dreaded owners (us) this year? Similar to this…

It's true, this might be our only shot at a 4-win season. And, honestly, if they can't beat this Colts team, it's a lot worse than we even assume.
Changes to see on Sun - Start Sow at RT, Callup Harris at RB3 (sit Rham until he's ready to try), Start Peppers (sit Dugger), Play Schooler more at S in passing situations, Get Boutte & Bell more targets in space...
And for pete's sake - run a quick slant or play action on 1st down for once in your dumb life!!

We the fans also have transparency too! We can see the roster snd coaching has been ****ty. So we are doing just as good a job in evaluation.

Is there a world where we can win 3 of our last 5 games? Colts & Cardinals are not good.
(The only way we beat Chargers at home is if they go on a losing streak and are essentially out of gas)
(I can't see us beating the Bills at home unless by some miracle they wrapped up #1 seed by then)

But will Mayo be willing to re-evaluate all the coordinators and assistants if we end on a high note?

So Siddy Sow Sow is our new RT now??

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but it would seem that Strange is in for a position change.

Part of this year being an evaluation should also imply that Mayo is being evaluated; if we keep that evaluation at a reasonable expectation, while noting this is kinda the last winnable game on paper, I want to see the Patriots be corralled to play like an NFL team. Not 100 penalties. Good play calling. Break 120 yards rushing. Field a team that wants to win.

I don't care if they lose, as long as they don't dig their own graves. Make the Colts dig your grave for you.

As far as the Colts? I imagine it's gonna be close - the Colts have kept all of their games pretty damn close with the exception of last week against the Lions (Lost by 18) and then the Bills (lost by 10), then the Vikings (lost by 8). Every other loss was within or under one TD (same goes for their wins).

They get more turnovers than us it seems. They're also their most dangerous selves in the 4th? Or at least, they love scoring TD's in the 4th compared to other quarters.

It looks like if they have 4 yards to go on 4th down, they might try it. They've gone for it 17 times with an average of 4.41 yards.

But, all in all, they seem kinda mediocre and it should be a low scoring bout. But who tf knows lol.

Well, they have Jonathan Taylor, and a massive running QB. It seems hopeless to me.

Will the Pats make it 6 straight years with a losing record in December?

Another "get right game" for an opponent. I'm sensing a pattern here. The good news is the Colts seem to suck enough that even a get right game should be close. It seems like whenever the wheels are about to fall off the bus, we put in a good effort. So, I could see a tight game. No need to "head to the Tobin." (during the game day thread last week I was explaining this to my gal who's not from Boston ... she's like "what's wrong with these people?" -- we had a pretty good laugh about it, which may mean we're pretty sick)

We have nothing to hang our hat on as a losing team. No operation looks promising.

I think it is clear that the roster is bad and mayo is not very good at motivating players on a bad team to do the little things they need to do to win games.

The players are halfway checked out and that is why they are so inconsistent.

That doesn't explain why they were bad at the beginning of the season.

Last game on their schedule that I think is realistically winnable.

Richardson is not Stroud or Daniels.
He's more like Fields. If our D can't stop him, then we need to fire DC at the bye.
The real concern will be our Run D - which is terrible. The first half @ MIA was some of the worst tackling I've seen in a long time. I don't care about Schooler's size - I'd rather play him at LB just for his tenacity and enforcing tackles.
Hopefully Peppers will re-instill that effort & punch. I hope he's as mad at Taylor on Sun as he was at his girlfriend

Hope this team practices this week. They didn't last week and it showed with the pre snap penalties. Maybe eating turkey is easier...
