Does Mills get a shot as a starter somewhere next season? Does some team look at him as their new Darnold reclamation project?
I think he’s in the conversation with Mac Jones.

And I don't think anyone would be too upset. That said, I do think Wolf is the kind of guy who tries to be a team player with this new brain trust.
Yes, Wolf is pliable, which can be referred to as a team player.

I think it wouldn’t be easy to make a case that the players drafted ahead of Campbell are better players, regardless of position.

Would you trade Campbell for Ward, Hunter, or Carter if you had an equal need for players at those positions?

I wouldn’t.

The Pats just lost out on draft capital from trading down.
A LT was just too dire of a need for the Pats, even if Hunter or Carter were "can't miss" players. Including others, I wasn't that excited about Campbell just because of what was being said about him. I liked the prospect of Hunter pairing up with Gonzalez, but you can't hoard CB's and you'd still be left with a massive hole at LT. Carter also was intriguing to upgrade the LB position, but he's looks tiny. So basically, I had concerns with all players. But I agree, losing out on the #1 pick affected their ability to trade with other teams if in fact Campbell was the guy all along.

I am sure your hometown changed, Chester is so different now. They say you can never go back and they are right everything changes. My uncle had a cabin at Wildwood, but we also went down to Atlantic City and obviously Cape May. I wish you luck on your journey back. Take care and it was fun reminiscing.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving next week.
THANKS! Likewise, and let’s kick off the holidays enjoying a nice easy win over the Bengals!

I didn't watch this game yesterday but I saw the highlights. I'm pleasantly surprised that the Texans defense dominated Josh Allen. Sacked him 8 times and came away with the victory. What a great upset win!

This also help pads our lead in the division by 2 games. All we have to do is take care of business and it looks like we can win the AFC East division title for the first time in a LONG time!

He was a starter 3 years ago. No one took a flyer or a trade offer for him. That leads me to believe he is a career clip board holder. Nothing wrong with that especially at today's rates. Good work if you can get it!

that houston front is tough... while i am not gainsaying that we need an edge, their play made me think that RT is a big need in the 2026 draft
No question

No, I still believe Campbell was the correct pick.
Much to the chagrin of many people here.

They're both really top backups or competition for someone young to beat out, and if he doesn't you probably don't have the right guy.

I suppose Mac could have a Sam D type of resurgence, but his arm speed still seems weak. Mills, however, seems like pure grade A backup to me.

Did they meet going through a table?

McDermott had nothing to play for and we'd all want BB to pull players as he's done in the past when the Pats were looking towards the playoffs. The person you should be really mad at is Mayo for not countering what McDermott was doing. The Pats were playing way too aggressive on defense blitzing and allowing Milton to run around, throwing bombs and playing hero ball on offense. If I were one of the Kraft's, I would've told Mayo to cut that **** out after halftime. Or better yet, I would've humiliated him and fired him at halftime because I'm pretty sure Mayo was already told this was his last game anyways. Mayo knew very well what was on the line.

It worked out in the end because having Hunter and Carter also available with the #1 pick could've made Vrabel fall into the trap second guessing himself. Those guys off the board made picking Campbell very easy.
Agreed. Mayo was IMO already told he was out likely before the game. His body language, demeanor and all signs showed he was. That last Buffalo game was to screw the teams draft position. Mayo knew it too. As you said it all worked out once Vrabel took over.

The vast majority here agree that Campbell was the right pick. It is OK to discuss other options while agreeing that Campbell was the correct pick.
Why would the Pats need Cam Ward with Maye? If the Titans dont pick Mendoza 1st pick 2026 draft and dump Ward they are numbskulls.

Travis Hunter is out for the 2025 season.

Abdul Carter has been good, but NE already has a very good DL.
