Time of possession is useless if you play a soft zone against the Broncos. They play man with an aggressive pass rush and they force the Broncos to punt. They play zone and Manning scores quickly.

In other words you have to play defense of whatever kind to stop the other team. That is what I meant.

The 2013 Denver Broncos can be stopped like the 2007 Patriots were. Hit their QB in the mouth early and often. Yes that is supposedly the strategy for all teams, but teams like the Broncos get rattled more easily than others when their QB takes hits. I expect the Jones bros, Nink, and Sopoaga to make an impact.

Also, jam the receivers/their one tight end at the line. Spikes/Hightower can jam J.Thomas and have Talib/Dennard on D.Thomas/Decker. Put Arrington where he belongs and that's on Welker in the slot.

I don't trust Spikes or Hightower on J. Thomas...Mostly Spikes

I was referring to just hitting him off the line. I don't trust either of them on him, but unless they bring McCourty or Gregory/Harmon down to cover him it's going to happen.

Sure.But what team you would play where you dont want to control the clock and play defense? Shouldnt that be the goal against every team ? to control the clock and keep their offense off the field, whatever powered offense it maybe ? I think the offense's goal has to be to score TDs. Whatever way it is.Maybe once you get a lead in the 4th Q you can start running some time off but its way too early to change one's offensive philosophy from the first Q especially if that is not your identity. At least that is my opinion.
