If Bradbury continues to underwhelm, then they're gonna need to give Wilson some more reps at Center, and fast.
We seem to be pretty content with Bradbury.

And I think if the other 4 play as expected I think he's good enough. The problems will come if/when Moses needs a game off or if the rookies start hitting a wall later in the year. Or if Onwenwu doesn't return to form.

If Moses is out, we have backup OT's. My choices are Bryant and Lowe. Some want Jacobs.
============
If Bradbury is out, many are uncomfortable with Brown as the backup center. Others are uncomfortable with Strange as the backup center. Finally, others don't like the idea of a quick shift to starting Wilson at center and moving up our backup LG (Strange or Wallace).

I was speaking more to 4 of the 5 being able to cover the weakness of the 5th but if any of those 4 go down then Bradbury's weaknesses get harder to cover up because we just don't have the depth.

Moses goes down and 3/5ths of the line are rookies and Bradbury is still starting that gets real scary real quick.

But it is what it is and we still have to pick our best 5 and go from there. Maybe moving around Wilson or Strange can help but by how much. We all knew we still have problems here so I repeat it is what is.

Center: Bradbury, Brown
Guard: Onwenu, Wilson, Strange, Wallace
Tackle: Campbell, Moses, Bryant, Jacobs

Bradbury starts at center but could lose his job to Brown at some point.

Strange is a 3 spot backup, able to cover either guard position or be the third center.

Wallace, for whatever reason, I think they like and want to keep developing. He becomes the fourth guard.

Bryant becomes a backup RT who might spell Moses from time to time or play as a sixth OL.

Jacobs becomes the swing tackle.

Sow goes on IR, Lowe gets traded, one of the two (maybe both) Robinsons go to the practice squad.
I see Bryant as the swing tackle. You have him at RT which is also fine.
=============================================
In any case, I think that Lowe is a much better LT than Jacobs. Lowe has shown enough to believe that he can be the #4. emergency 4th OL.

Why is Garrett Bradbury sucking so bad? Is mediocrity Ben Brown better? And the strange case of Mr 69 is a mystery to me. Whither are you going, Coke Strange?
Bradbury is just not that good. He is a good run blocker but hot trash vs the pass rush.

That is true if the coaches are comfortable with Strange starting at LG. They should be.

I suspect that Brown is our 6th IOL
Wilson, Bradbury, Onwenu
Strange, Brown, Wallace
IR or PS: Sow, Robinson, Robinson

Who are your 6 IOL's?

Wilson - Bradbury - Onemenu

Then, in order:
Strange69 - Starting experience at LG in case Wilson struggles; emergency LT & C
Brown - Starting though he sucked at it experience at Center in case Bradbury struggles; size to play either Guard spot
Sow - size/athleticism for potential 4-position versatility
Wallace - Right-side lineman Only
Lindstrom - Center-Only, David Andrews type
Laydown - RG Only

I acknowledge the existence of neither the other Robinson who sucks nor of Messy Butler. They should've both been ****-canned already.

And I wish our front orifice would get off their collective ass and bring Will Hernandez & Dalton Risner here for workouts.

Hernandez has re-signed with Arizona.
=================
You have Sow over Wallace. I think that Wallace will make the 53, and that Sow will be put on IR (probably DTR).
==============
Risner would be fine, but I suspect that Vrabel would only do this if he were replacing Strange.

The clarification, it seems, is that the OL is the achiles heel of this team, it appears

If Im the GM, id go after a solid Starter at any position there.

I had earlier read of Brandon Scherff's retirement but had not read of Hernandez' signing with the Cardinals until now.

Still not loving the two rookies starting on the left side of the OL idea either.

We have some clarification, Ben Brown is not a starter… we’re not sure he’s even a backup, no matter how hard they try to wedge him in there. And while I love the idea of hard work and a “can do” attitude… talent means a whole lot more.

They may not want to pay or play Strange, but how much does winning matter to you?

Sow is also working his way back from injury, enough with the slow drip. Get the best players inside. Jared Wilson’s time will come, play the talented vets.

This goes across the board, sure Alex Austin is a hard worker… but Miles Battle is bigger, faster, quicker and more explosive. Culture is great… but enough with this working class hero bullsht… play the best athletes, develop those guys.

Strange may be not be anywhere as good as before his last injury. We just don't know.

True, but it will be hard to hide that in preseason, even harder to justify sitting him if the player in front of him sucks just because he doesn’t fit their plans and they don’t want to pay him.

None of this will matter if Wilson, Bradbury, Onwenu and Sow stay healthy. If they end up needing Strange due to injury and he is still a solid player they may have to keep him… possibly extend him.

The 6th IOL choices seems to be
Strange
Sow
Risner
a different addition
no one

I'm not sure I agree with this. Brown and Wallace might have got their opportunity but I don't think they've done very well. I think we know our top 5 and the depth at tackle seems to be shaping up but I'm not good with iol depth at all.

I agree that Brown and Wallace haven't "done' very well". The key is that there aren't two players who have played better enough to replace them.

Center: Bradbury, Brown
Guard: Onwenu, Wilson, Strange, Wallace
Tackle: Campbell, Moses, Bryant, Jacobs

I agree with this list as the 10 that make the 53.
If they carry 9 - then Jacobs would be off - and go on the PS, along with Sow, Robinson

True but that makes me reconsider Sow and Strange because at their best they did better than Brown and Wallace are doing right now. Due to injury it's been a few years since though.

I don't think how Sow and Strange performed before injuries is very relevant to Vrabel.

I can't figure out why folks prefer Jacobs to Lowe.

If he is healthy enough to trade, then he is better than Jacobs
