Yep. He'll get out-schemed every now and then but that happens to all coaches. What we do know is it won't be because they aren't prepared. They'll make adjustments and those will be based on data, what has transpired, and logic.

Yes. You said it.. adjusting that's what good coaches do.. I think under Vrabel we can finally beat Tua finally!!

I'm with you PF2.. but I took a hard look at things.. and the development is where Mayo failed miserably.. Polk and baker under Josh stand to be at minimum contributing players.. they have talent and can add value to the offense.. they are young undeveloped players with raw talent.

You can count the number of players on last year's roster who improved in 2024 from 2023 on one hand.

Remember that in training camp, Polk was looking good.

I'm still convinced that if they can get Polk's head out of the dumpster, he can develop. He was getting open and getting separation. He just wasn't catching the ball. And then he got down on himself and the coaches let him spiral.

Right, so easier to go Carter or offense with 4 if there's a chance to find guys who are mostly equivalent of Graham elsewhere.

I wouldn't say equivalent, but what I will say (LOL, Mayo) is that the drop from Graham to the 7th best DT is not as far as the drop from Carter to the 7th best edge.

Yeah, that's what I was trying (and not succeeding) at saying. Bill used to talk about targeting a group of three or four players of the same position who were roughly graded about the same and try to get one. That gave him room to trade back or know when to trade up.

Yes. The defense stands to be significantly better under Vrabel and Williams.. gonzo will be 1st team all pro where he belongs. Best CB in the game..
