The real answer is we have to wait and see if Vrabel can win 6 with Maye but even then it won't count unless he can win something without Maye.

signbabybrady was trying to confuse the issue by posing the question that way, which is why so many opted for Belichick. Had he wanted to he could have asked " Who has had a better coaching career, Belichick or Vrabel?" To which the overwhelming answer would be Belichick. However, by asking it the way he did he knew many would take careers into account, which obviously favors Belichick. However, if the question was asked, " who is the better coach right now, Belichick or Vrabel?" Vrabel would win going away. Or if the question was asked " Who would you rather have coaching the Patriots ( right now?" Vrabel would again win going away. But neither of those answer would have satisfied SBB, so he posed it in a way to conflate the career and present. As the question is currently posed it implies right now, so Vrabel is the obvious answer.

Edit: My mistake, I forgot the Patriots beat Vrabel in 2021. Belichick is 1-2 vs Vrabel as a coach.
