According to ESPN, Miller paid off the guy who was collecting his urine sample to switch it with clean urine. No wonder why he claimed he never failed a drug test, he paid big bucks for clean urine.

Sources said the collector worked in Miami, where Miller spends offseason time, and the collector reveled in knowing the Broncos linebacker while being, according to a source, "star struck." It led, sources said, to the collector's willingness to substitute another person's urine specimen for Miller. It might have worked, sources said, had a second collector not discovered that Miller was not in the city where his collection was supposed to have taken place.

Assuming the NFL had no knowledge of this until this story broke, I can't see him playing another game this season.

They knew this before they suspended him. Hence why they were pushing for a year suspension.

I wouldn't be surprised if Goodell tries to use off the field issues with him to try to suspend him even more to.

Pfft, small time crooks don't know how it's done.

I'm not sure they can do anything else other than the 6 game suspension

And while the NFL could have suspended Miller for up to a year for his attempt to influence a collector, it became apparent to both sides that the collector also was involved. Thus, the six-game settlement.

Seems like the NFL already sat him down for as long as he's going to sit. An extra 2 games for bribing (article says they don't know if money changed hands but come the **** on) the collector is bull****.

The bench warrant for him might be able to trigger the personal conduct policy.

Iam sure the NFL knew.Must be the manning influence . Iam waiting for Joker's response to this on the commish

He's a very naughty boy.

I'm surprised he didn't get away with it. How did reporters ever find out about this?

Can't believe he took such a strong public stance that he did nothing wrong.

Not that he had to immediately confess and beg for mercy, but there's nothing wrong with keeping your mouth shut.

Re: Palmeiro, Clemens, Bonds, etc.

Wow, makes complete sense why the NFL was pushing for a full season suspension. Apparently the "star player" quality not only almost got him clean urine, but got him off easy with the NFL.

If I was the NFL, I would rip that testing company a new butthole. You're paying a company big bucks to collect these samples in an ethical manner, and their employee was helping engage in a coverup. I'd fire their sad sacks asses, sue 'em, and hire a different company.

if this was a pats player, florio and goodell wouldve asked for a life ban.
