Are you going to build this experienced coach with his experienced coordinators in a laboratory. Look around, there aren’t much to pick from that fit.
Right now, an hour and a half after the job became open, yeah, I am doing just that.

Lol but hiring a bad coach because he has experience isn’t what I think the plan should be.

I have my concerns about Josh becoming O C... Our Q B has shown a fondness for the West coast scheme. Josh seems to be locked in with the difficult E and A scheme. I don't think we should saddle our yong Q B with having to learn that system. We have seen veterans fail at grasping the scheme. We are going to have a team with younger players. No need to descourage them with the system Josh likes...

I'm a No on Josh as OC.

Agreed. Let me live in my little lab for now.

Are any of these dipshits in the front office getting fired? Who picked these goddamned **** WRs and OLs in this draft? No repercussions, really?

Why ask the question if you know the answer already? It's Robyn Glaser, right?

What reports?
Volin.

The reality: Volin is guessing to try to prove himself as a real source in this town. AVP actually hasn’t been fired yet. But he likely will be fired because that’s typically what happens. And when it does happen, Volin will go off crowing about how he was the first to break the news, and will start getting quoted in articles as “Patriots insider Ben Volin” again.

I know most believe AVP sucks and that might be true. However he projected some professionalism, did right by Maye, and did the best he could with a **** line, **** HC and **** talent.

You're correct. He's a phony, duplicitous turd. He may end up being right on this one, but he's still a phony, duplicitous turd.

I think he did his job as a bridge hire. He had OC experience in CLE, but behind a head coach who really ran the offense. AVP seems like a good coach to have on staff, but he's just not up to par with the play design/playcalling aspects that you need to actually run an offense. He can't be the guy designing and overseeing the whole offense. BUT, no one really qualified to do that wanted to come here last year so they had to settle for AVP.

Realistically, he should have never been expected to do more than hold the fort for 1-2 years until they got the roster in a spot where a real OC candidate would want to come here. And while the overall returns weren't great, it seems AVP and his staff did enough of a good job with Maye that, despite the other roster holes, they made this a viable place to coach on offense. I think AVP did what it was fair to hope for him to do, and I'll always view his time here as positive in that regard. I never expected him to be our long term OC.

No Thanks on Jabbar Van Pelt that lateral Offense is forgettable.
