Pretty interesting. I'd love to see the actual rundown. I can infer their methodology, but I have suspected that you can probably find the evidence if you looked hard enough.

What's also interesting is the conclusion that this protection stopped in 2023. Sunday night's game might suggest otherwise.
There is an actual link to the study. You can click on the article link address I provided and I believe the actual study address is embedded there..

I totally believe that the owners want certain teams built up and certain matches created that will bring in the biggest audience and ratings. Im sure it was their wet dream when Kelce and Swift hooked up. All those swifties tuning in a ratings bonanza. Pre godell the owners belonged to a rich boys club that owned a team for bragging rights, civic and reginal pride. Post godell its about making money any way possible, from changing the rules to gambling, and in doing so ruining the game. We watched this sunday night, i think the powers that be want a mahomes vs allen rematch. The pats are a threat to win the division
I believe your audience comments are accurate. I don't know for sure. But it would make sense, since the NFL is all about profit and televising "lackluster games during prime time wouldn't optimize this. It is aftercall, all about the eyeballs. Totally agree with Swiftie comments as well. I said the same to my wife. That was a marriage made in heaven for the Front Office albeit serendipitious. Think about the improved KCC franchise value e.g. tickets sales, merchandise, advertising, etc.

What have we become?

I’ve been saying for ages that the Chiefs were mostly an NFL creation, designed to quickly diminish Brady and the Patriots’ amazing achievements. Mahomes is a great quarterback, but he’s definitely not Brady.

Well, it seems like they’ve stumbled upon that very thing. Plus, it shows that this kind of officiating wasn’t around during the Brady years or any other “dynastic” team. Who would have guessed? I mean, I suppose it would need some outside verification, but to me, it makes sense to what I’ve been watching for years, until last year’s Super Bowl.

except for this call.....

?

Dude was very obviously offsides. You had a better case with the phantom roughing the passer call.
It looked like he swatted him when it happened and QB gets the benefit of the doubt on something like that. They probably should have checked and picked up the flag. And on that play if there was no flag it’s 3rd and 7 not like it’s a turnover on downs. Was there any doubt they convert it anyway?

Sure looked like Edelman was interfered with on the throw and no flag so it’s a wash anyway.

All studies show the same thing: what the people doing the study thought going into the effort. We have become obsessed with studies and with the blithering of various "experts" - all all areas of our life and of the life of the nation - whose opinions (when and only when they agree with ours) we value because they offer the pretense that their views are based upon - you guessed it - studies. I think this conspiracy theory is nonsense. I'm sure there is a study somewhere which agrees with me. That is my expert opinion: you may cite me in your next study.

I always knew my teachers were full of it

Tech is hard for old people
You're the one who sent a defective message. As for technology, when my relatives have a tech problem, I'm the one they call. You seem desperate to affirm our equality. I'm afraid it's just not in the cards, but carry on, if you must. You might do better with actual words and ideas rather than emitting all these silly little pictures, but one does what one can, I suppose.
