Re: ** Updated: Walsh now meeting with Goodell

Wait, but you guys told me Matt Walsh was a liar and a scumbag and a lowlife.

Now we like him, right?

Jolly Roger said that would be a fine and the $750K we've already paid would suffice.

Nice. So this really was Al Capone's Vault 2.0. Wish I could have watched the jackals on ESPN try to manufacture this into some kind of controversial buzz ...

Re: ** Updated: Walsh now meeting with Goodell

no Further Sanctions

Re: ** Updated: Walsh now meeting with Goodell

One ... just one media member to ask which teams Walsh said he filmed

filming our signals ... just one ... anyone step up and ask the question.

Re: ** Updated: Walsh now meeting with Goodell

Didn't TomASSe say that he had a source saying that the Rams walk through was taped? Hmmmmmm

Good Lord.

Can this end now?

Scouting/stealing signals is permissible just not in the manner the Patriots did it. The tapes were not used in-game and there is no tape of the Rams' walkthrough. Matt Walsh is a blowhard who used the whole situation to gain his fifteen minutes of attention and when push came to shove, he had to say "I have nothing."

The NY Times, ESPN, the Herald and any other news source that ran with this as their smoking gun should be ashamed.

Just relief, my friend. Moving on from the Matt Walsh era.

Re: ** Updated: Walsh now meeting with Goodell

'Interpretation of the rules'.... from the mouth of Goodell.

Now, all those who gave us 'defenders' on this subject a ration of grief, take it up with Goodell. This ass-clown of an Ommissioner punished the team for things that happened before he even took power.

Sal Palantonio bringing up Ernie Adams?! What is he fishing for?

Re: ** Updated: Walsh now meeting with Goodell

Wait, did he just say that Walsh said some teams wouldnt grant permission? Isnt that exactly the same thing that the Jets did? WTF?

Well put.

But, they'll still play this off as a smoking gun. Guaranteed.

Re: ** Updated: Walsh now meeting with Goodell

Goodell: "Walsh said that the Patriots knew what they were doing was illegal."

Since we're taking everything he says now as gospel, I guess BB's misinterpetation excuse was BS.

Not quite. The fact that he waited this long (allowing the Pats to be prosecuted in the court of public opinion) to explain what he knew still makes him an enemy to the Pats. Most of this drawn-out media frenzy could have been avoided.

Re: ** Updated: Walsh now meeting with Goodell

"It's permissable to steal signals," Roger Goodell.

That's not what he said at all.

Re: ** Updated: Walsh now meeting with Goodell

So long SpyGate, hello Scalp-Gate and IR-Gate.

Re: ** Updated: Walsh now meeting with Goodell

Paolantonio with the requisite ESPN focus on the competitive advantage gained by stealing signs and Goodell did an excellent job of shutting the sniveling twits at ESPN up.

"Teams take the necessary precautions to guard against that because stealing signals is permissible."

Roger, you heavy handed clown, thank you.

Jolly Roger said he didn't believe Belichick; that doesn't mean Belichick didn't believe Belichick. Regardless, it's irrelevant, the fines and draft pick already paid are BECAUSE Jolly Roger didn't believe Belichick.

How so when the rule wasn't even in affect until 2006???

Re: ** Updated: Walsh now meeting with Goodell

When asked about other teams not having a problem with the tapes,Goodell repeats:

"It is permissable to scout signals, ALL teams try to gain a competetive advantage, and thats why we have these competetive rules."

Plus someone just asked if Waslh confirmed any other teams did it, he said that he named at least 1 other team but had no proof of it.

This is a great day in N.E.

Any hater who continues their campaign after hearing this is a waste of skin.
