Well said. Rice has gone above and beyond in regards to trying to make up for his mistake. He's done a ton to help raise awareness for domestic violence... Further, although what he did was very wrong, it was at least an isolated incident that he's doing everything in his power to get past. I don't think that's lost on BB.

As far as the "circus" element is concerned, it's been a circus here since last January anyway, so what difference is it really?
How do you know it was an isolated incident?

No question Rice has seemingly done the right things to somehow atone for a horrible act.

I made the statement earlier that I can't support the team bringing him on and cheering for him. As a husband and father of three girls, I just can't do it. My girls know who Ray Rice is and what hes done. I'm not trying to hold myself to a higher standard than everyone else but I just can publicly support him being here or root for him on this team.

If the org, BB and the players are ok with it and he kicks ass here, good for them and good for us who want to team to do well. I don't hold the team to a high moral standard as that's not really the reason I root for them in the first place and I'm not going to pick and choose what morals are convenient to overlook that help the team win.

I don't understand this love for Cadet.

James White and Danny Amendola can replace what Lewis was producing on the passing game, what remains to be seen is if James White can at least get more rushing yards than Vereen (not too difficult);
its just because he was here before and in my mind it would be solely for depth

If we are going to sign any RB, hopefully it is Terrence West. Not that he has been any good this year.

But he was a 3rd round pick in 2014, and was playing well at one point last season til the Browns decided Crowell was their #1.

And he certainly had no chance to prove himself in that mess of a backfield that is Tennessee.

I dont know what West's deal is but Ive always felt that they needed that 220-230 lb guy who can back up LG. If LG goes down this team is really screwed worse than losing Lewis IMO.

Sucks...yeah. But, it's next man up time and on the Giants

Time to bring Ray Rice in for a look. I'm sure Kraft would oppose it, but we know he'll back down.

Even before he committed career hara-kiri in that elevator, his play was already in a tailspin. His last season, he barely averaged 3 YPG. Rushing and passing yards, att's, long, were all career lows by a good margin.

Tough break for Lewis, he was having such a great year!!!! Hope he has a speedy recovery and is ready for next year when we go for the three peat

While my post was more of an attempted quip in Kraft's direction:

The entire Ravens running game was crap in that last season, and the entire team was a mediocrity at 8-8, so we can't really judge Rice's game just by the numbers. Just the year prior, he'd averaged 4.4 ypc.

God, I wish Pierre Thomas was still on the market. He can catch passes. Brady just loves RBs with hands on those critical 3rd downs...

There's gotta be someone out there.

He had a horrible offensive line in 2013. Flacco got sacked 48 times that year. Go look it up

This sucks....wish him all the best with his recovery !

This Sucks! Lose-Lose all around. He was a special addition to our Offense makin Opposing DC have to account for him. Unfortunately 'It Is,What It Is' Next Man Up! Do Your Job!

Did you cheer for Corey Dillon? Not a gotcha or trying to be judgmental or anything, I just find it odd that a light switch apparently flipped at the precise moment that the Rice video came out. There are plenty of players in the league to this day who are celebrated and openly cheered despite doing things just as bad as Rice. It just so happens that, because they did it prior to the Rice video, nobody cares.

How do you know it was an isolated incident?

Whenever I've seen a left hook like that before, it was at least part of a combination.

Isolated incident? Got some isolated swampland in Florida I'd like to sell you.

Has anyone seen a breakdown of his injury? Some ACLs are a lot worse than others.
