Uh oh - - Mayo After the Interception?

I think he landed on the ball hard after he rolled over and might have lost his breath or maybe even a bruise in the torso area...I wouldn't worry about it.

It was talked about plenty, he had cramps all through the 4th quarter, he's fine.

Ah, thanks. Given his knee history, that video clip concerned me.

The bigger concern today is Chung now in a walking boot in the locker room.

I saw that in Reiss' blog. Ugh. He was running fine in the clips of last week's practices.

If they are going to go anywhere in the playoffs it will be in spite of a subpar defense.

However, No Chung = No Chance

I know Chung is better than the junk we have at Safety now,but let's not confuse him with losing Ronnie Lott....Chung is a decent player, not great.

The defense was still getting torched when he was healthy

Losing Arrington would be 1,000,000 times worse......(I can't believe I said losing Kyle Arrington is a huge loss )

Chung is better than the average safety. Hes a good player, not a decent one.

On this defense any 'decent' player will look 'good'..... It's not like Chung beat out a multitude of talented athletes in training camp at Safety.

Good point....

these days it reminds me of the scene from LITTLE GIANTS where they are recruiting kids at the supermarket.....

"Do you play football?" (kids shakes head 'no')
"Do you know how to play football?" (shakes head again)
"Do you want to play football?" (shakes head third time)
"Good, you can play on our team."

I noticed that when it happened. Wasn't sure if it was a limp or something else.

Wait ... is decent better than good? or the other way around?

I think it's good to be decent.

Does that clear it up?

wrong...it's good to be indecent...I know from vast experience...

Yes, I agree that Chung is extremely overrated by about 95% of the fanbase. Apparently they forget that defending the pass is a big part of playing the secondary.

That said, with the current talent for the 2011 group, losing him for the rest of the year would be pretty bad.

Either way, if his injury regressed to the point of now having to wear a walking boot after missing 5-6 games in a row, I wouldn't expect him back before the playoffs.

Great...we can continue to have a turnstile at the secondary positions, even in January. That should work out well.

Maybe the key to solving this problem is for Belichick to use every single 2012 pick on CB's and Safeties...then we'd at least be guaranteed that someone could actually stick, contribute, and play the positions properly for the next few years.

To me it looked like he might have sprained his left ankle right before he made the dive for the INT.

LOL. That statement is indicative of how awful our defense has been.

Regarding Chung, he's awful in coverage. Good against run support though.

no BB would put all 32 picks on IR and pick up a FS and a CB from the eagels PS and have then lead the NFL in INT's and tackles
