All I want to know is did he say "You Want me on that field, You Need me on that field" when he interviews.

The Ryan Leaf school of interviewing...

We use words like trips right, read option... You use them as a punch line... I have neither the time nor the inclination for somebody who will thrive under the production I'll provide, and then questions the manner in which I'll provide it. I'd prefer you just say "sign here," and be on your way. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think you're entitled to...

Bentley and Sam were both ILB/MLB in college ... 6'1"-6'2", +/- 245 lbs, roughly the same as Mayo was. Were there a couple other guys who were drafted and I missed them?
My bad for not being more specific. Was referring to other draft picks league wide.

In that case, I agree. [Even went back and agreed with your original post. ]

Growing up in Virginia, you occasionally heard "The South Shall Rise Again!"

And it has, straight up Route 1 to Foxborough, MA, as of this year.

I have a little better feeling about raiding the SEC for talent, as opposed to raiding Rutgers for talent.

McFadden a top 10 pick a year ago

Interesting to me that, last season, the Pats were among the leaders (if not tops) in paying bonuses and guarantees to several UDFA. This year, it appears to be the Eagles, and the Pats appear to have done nothing much (at least based on what's been reported).

I would think there was little demand for most of the Pats UDFA. For example, only 3 were ranked by CBS with Atkins the highest at 252 (they ranked 379 players).

Legit question : what is the last year NE didn’t keep an UDFA on the September roster ?

Last year FOUR UDFAs were on the opening roster and it was supposed to be a 19-0 looking roster in the summer/spring. Amazing.

FWIW that board was an outlier on J.C. Jackson. He was ranked in the 150-200 range everywhere else I saw.

And to be fair to CBS, with 252 players drafted and say an average of 15 UDFA per team, that's over 700 rookies added to rosters this past week.
