Tyquan Thornton Having a Tough Camp

22 catches in an injury plagued rookie season in a dysfunctional offense isn’t something to really have a problem with.
Like I said, I'm all for him breaking out and I hope it happens, but that has to be more then just carrying coverage. It has to be production.

He was injured for the fist quarter of the season, he played catch up the rest of the year.. getting coaching from judge and Patricia is like learning a foreign language that you'll never be able to understand. He still made plays.. I'm sorry if you were looking for randy Moss
Nope, for a 2nd round pick I want someone that can be productive. Really not to hard to understand.

With the changes that has happened to the coaching staff and the additional WR’s…Mac is going to have more receiving options then in 2022. That being said I think Thornton will have about 500 yards…double what he had in 2022….good or bad.

Absolutely agree, in his first season he showed more than N'Keal Harry did in 4 seasons.. the kid made big plays at the end of the season that led to scoring plays. I like Thornton, and whenever he's lined up out wide his speed has to be respected. Did anyone see tyreek hill becoming the player he is.. he was a punt/ kickoffs return his first few years.

Agreed, we have alot of options. Henry, gisecki as TE, juju, Parker, Bourne, Douglas. We have some guys that have ability. Having Thornton on the outside would force teams to play zone.. you try to man up Thornton he burns you with his speed.

Speaking of Thornton perhaps some of you fantasy experts can help me.

Dynasty 2 qb Superflex PPR I was offered Jahan Dotson and Sam Howell for Jamaal Williams Baker Mayfield and Tyquan Thornton. Would you pull the trigger? My thinking is I would be getting the best player in the bunch with Dotson.

I'm not in a dynasty league (yet), but I definitely understand it. Yes absolutely I would take that deal.

I need to get into a dynasty league, any other players here need another good manager let me know!

The first game of the season is a month away, we've just finished week one.

There's a lot of time between then and now, there's a lot of practices, joint practices and preseason.

Rome wasn't built in a day.
But it was burned in six...

Pickens is just a young DeVante Parker, they are almost identical athletically. He's not a separation guy, he's a contested catch receiver. He had a better rookie year than TT no doubt.. we'll see what happens going forward.

The post you responded to didn’t say just carrying coverage

Reading your previous posts, it sounds like you’re looking for someone who is immediately and constantly productive, which is very different than someone that “can be productive”.

It’s his third year in the league. “Immediately” has long since come, and gone.

Not ready to give up on him yet but I feel like we’ve seen this story before.
Yeah I’m willing to cut him some slack with how dysfunctional last year was, but this isn’t a great start to this season.

Hill was dynamic his first season. We knew he was special right off the bat. I watched few chiefs games just for hill . I don't think Thornton had any such game. Hill had speed and Twisties. Thornton just runs straight like a track star .

Hey, any senior Patriots fans here's a question if you have been at camp. Demarco Douglas fits into a role like:
1. Dave Megget, ( he was a back) great hands
2. David Patten. Deep threat
3. Wes Welker. First down maker
4. Julian Edelman. 100 yards per game

Clam chowder cant help him.

Hill is 5"11, physical specimen, a speed demon. He was primarily a special teams player he wasn't the player he is now is what I'm saying.. he didn't come into the league his first season and have 1,400 yards receiving. Tyquan is 6,3 slim frame and runs like a Giselle.

He will be fine going forward. BOB will put him in positions to excel with his skill set. He's likely going to draw teams 3rd of 4th corner.. I'll take that match up every time.

Depending on reports from camp players can sound like ALL PROs or jags.. I say just let it all come together.. Thornton will be on this team.. he has to much potential and upside. Some ppl on here act like the kid is an absolute bust. He has shown more potential in the dysfunctional offense last season than anything N'Keal Harry did in 4 seasons.. let's not forget N'Keal ASKED to be traded and still was kept on the roster.
