TreVeyon Henderson = Curtis

Every time I come to the home page now, I see "Treveyon Henderson Cu-" and my heart skips a beat.

And we don’t have a WR like Tenn did with AJ Brown. Tannehils first 3 years in Tenn were actually pretty productive
This dropped off after they lost A.J. Browm: Tanne's career too.

Hmmmmmm Stefon Diggs?? I'm expect Big things from Kyle Williams who's polished.

Don't forget STs

I predict 2 kick returns to the house and a lot of teams conceding the 35 via touchbacks instead of the risk.

Pretty good because Henry ran for 2000 yards and made his job easy
Yes it helps. He was also productive in 2021 when Henry only played the first 8 games. It wasn’t all Henry.

I see him sharing carries with Rham and becoming the primary back in 2026 if he is as advertised.

Look for the Pats to try to duplicate the 2021 formula of running the ball to open up the passing game for Maye.
Maye can also rush in the redzone.

Vrabels first NFL season Henry and Dion Lewis were somewhat close in rush attempts too.

How did you guys feel when Robert Edwards was drafted? Was a meh for me.

He was solid, but unspectacular. No great physical skills that stood out. Good receiver. I remember a game against KC where he had a couple of really nice catches, one in the end zone if memory serves

1487 yards, 14 tds, 4.0 yards per carry. Curtis Martin rookie season!
That would be a great season.

I think he has the potential to be better than Martin long-term, we'll see.

Rookie seasons are made by what the rookie does. He’ll be good no doubt, but this isn’t 1995 with a run first coach like Parcells.

Expectations are anywhere from 750-1000 for me. If he becomes a phenom and does something similar to what Martin did, all the better. Always wanted a player like Darren Sproles, if he can come close to that I’d consider it a big win. Already got a good feeling he can surpass that because he is better at running the ball on any down.
I see him as an explosive back and our #1 weapon. Curtis Martin and him are really similar, you miss a tackle and he's going to the house. Afterburner, great juke move and flat out bull in a China shop finisher...you watch...87 yards a game will be no problem if he's healthy and runs to the left with Nasty! I've seen it before, Curtis and this kid just needed a crease! ...Religious guys too boot!

1487 yards, 14 tds, 4.0 yards per carry??? Nope. Not happening.
Methinks your memory of Max Lane is more rose colored than mine.

I think if Henderson stays healthy, he puts up decent numbers. He is the most sudden and exciting running back the patriots have had since Edwards.
Love Henderson’s attitude and compete levels!!!!

That sounds reasonable.

Only caveat is Henderson plays so well he ends up our #1 back, which could most certainly happen (many national analysts are predicting it). In that case maybe he ends up in the 255 carry territory, so could approach 1200 yards rushing.
When OSU featured him as their workhorse
He broke down
That is why they brought in Judkins last year on a transfer
To share the workload and keeping Henderson fresh and healthy

I know. Just like Gibbs split carries his final college year at Bama. Wether it's rushes or receptions, my guess is he will prove too effective to have less than 15-18 touches a game.

Vrabel knows what he’s doing, he’s not going to abuse Henderson. Just listen to the way he talks to Maye about protecting himself for the good of the team. He’s going to treat Henderson the same way. He will give him plenty of touches, but won’t run him like he’s Derrick Henry.

I think this narrative is a little bit revisionist history. I don't see how he ever "broke down"

2021 he played every game, averaged 6.8 a carry, 183 attempts.

2022 Guy BROKE HIS FOOT and played thru it most of the year and still averaged 5.3 a carry in 107 attempts, on a broken foot that needed surgery. A broken foot is not close to breaking down.

2023 He missed 3 games when he was recipient of a cheap shot late hit vs Notre Dame while already tackled and was on the ground, and still finished the game, including a 61-yard run for a TD in the 3rd quarter. Still 156 attempts

He was never injured as a senior despite 144 rushes and 27 receptions. That would put him 39th overall in the NFL in rushing attempts but in 16 games not 17.

Gibbs had 143 and 151 rushes his last 2 years in college and had 182 as a rookie and 250 in year 2.

He's basically Jahmyr Gibbs with better college stats. You split workload to prolong these guys longevity and to keep them fresh thru the whole year. There are very few Derick Henry types

I think the narrative that he breaks down is not supported by the facts.
