TreVeyon Henderson = Curtis

not in an era of rbbc unless youre a top 5

I have high hopes for Henderson. He’s the most explosive weapon we’ve had in ages. Unlike the Curtis Martin days, very few teams have the “bell cow” running back philosophy. I can see Henderson having around 1500+ all purpose yards and 8-10 TDs. I’m thinking 500+ yards rushing, probably 500+ yards receiving and 500+ yards in returns. I think he becomes more of a #1 back in year 2.

Less is not more.

Gibbs had 250 carries last year and 52 catches, 302 total touches. Yes I know the Montgomery injury played a role.

Henderson could most definitely be our RB #1 sooner rather than later. 18 touches a game is not a complete impossibility. 12-15 runs; 3-6 catches per game.

Do I hope Ram/Gib are effective and we can limit Henderson’s touches? Sure, but there is a very good chance he is just too good to keep his touches under 15 a game.
He’s Gibbs now?

They are going to define roles and his will the priority of being in the passing offense, hurry up and spread. Stevenson will do most of the running in running downs.

Gibby is going to be much better with McDaniels: an OC who knows how to use him.

The possibilities seem limitless, I just hope they don't burn him out too quickly

Good thing we'll have Chism to take off some of the pressure

Going to be fun

Rookie seasons are made by what the rookie does. He’ll be good no doubt, but this isn’t 1995 with a run first coach like Parcells.

Expectations are anywhere from 750-1000 for me. If he becomes a phenom and does something similar to what Martin did, all the better. Always wanted a player like Darren Sproles, if he can come close to that I’d consider it a big win. Already got a good feeling he can surpass that because he is better at running the ball on any down.

He's obviously got to earn it but Gibbs seems to be a popular comparison for him.

Gibbs is a good comp based on size and skill set. That comp is being made by many many NFL analysts , so please don’t pretend it’s out of the blue. And yes, they will have a plan for defined roles. Those plans can change he quickly if Ram is ineffective, continues to fumble or Henderson is incredibly effective in his role, and his touches grow.

Man, if Henderson can turn into half of what Curtis ended up at, we'll be great!
It appears Tre is more dynamic than Curtis, but who knows if he'll be as durable and productive between the tackles.

He is definitely a run first coach, or at least was with Tenn.

I’m going to make a bold prediction: none of the 8 WRs for the Patriots will put up eye popping fantasy numbers.

Tre’s fantasy value will likely surpass all of them.

Expecting a player to match the best guy at his position because of similar measurables as a rookie is a long stretch.
Gibbs had 182 and 52 as a rookie.

McDaniels has a long history of RBs sharing the load.

I look for them to be run first as well. Good job on the comp. I don't think they'll be that low in the pass attempts, but def bottom half of middle.

Using Henderson like a bell cow back sounds great for your fantasy team, not so much for this team in real life.

He weighs 200 pounds soaking wet… he’s better in rotation with a power runner.

I see him sharing carries with Rham and becoming the primary back in 2026 if he is as advertised.

Look for the Pats to try to duplicate the 2021 formula of running the ball to open up the passing game for Maye.

But...but he never had a QB like Maye day.

And we don’t have a WR like Tenn did with AJ Brown. Tannehils first 3 years in Tenn were actually pretty productive
