Tennessee’s starting tight end set a career high on Monday night with a whole 33 receiving yards. I think the Pats can afford to use Chung on Lewis in passing situations.

Regardless whether or not Ferguson has enough realistic developmental potential to make the Pats active roster at some point, I'm pretty sure that he was signed specifically to play the role of D. Lewis on the scout team for the #1s on the Pats defense to practice against this week.

We've cut players with far bigger bonuses in the past but this would indicate the original plan at least is to keep him around.

He actually is a pretty good Big Nickel/Safety/cover LB. The Packers D was much better against the Pats when he was in there.

Surprised about Croston over Ferentz move. Hopefully very temporary esp. in relation to Mason's inj. The way Pats are operating we can be happy it was not Mason on IR..

Schwenke was the #3 Center, so perhaps Ferentz for that reason. Also, Cardona has been dinged up (shoulder). It hasn't been an issue so far, but ...

That maybe leaves the question of why Tobin over Croston?
