Trading For A WR: Who is worth a 3rd and $20M a year?

afraid to give up a 3rd or 4th? is it a built in fear of losing out on another sidy sow or javon baker?

Take my draft pick, Please...
But we need those guys and Robinson so we can hear all offseason how these guys are actually good and need moar timez.

If we're talking Deebo, 49ers are desperate to unload his contract so they can pay other players. At most we should be talking a pick swap, our #4 for Deebo and a 5th. We're doing them a big favor taking his salary off their books.

I don't mind Deebo. I liked him a LOT when he was coming out in draft. But can he stay healthy the whole season anymore. How big of an upgrade will he be for us at this point in his career?

The Niners are looking to shed dollars not spend them. OTOH if Kupp would like to put to the Rams for dumping him vs hittin' a payday then SF would certainly give him an opportunity to do just that
You're probably right. They've got too much allocated at WR, TE and RB. They need to start addressing the OL.

With them shedding Deebo's salary, I just don't see Cupp commanding too much given his age and wear and tear.

I like Sow, he was injured last year and he played like it. His rookie year he was solid. How soon we forget. Per PFF he ranked in the top guards, not just rookies. and it is paying 20 mil for a player that wont be here unless you extend him in his 30s. I thought Van Pelt did a great job with bring Drake Maye up to snuff and fixing his foot work issues, But his playcalling and the routes run were not to any of the receiver's benefit

. G SIDY SOW, NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Sow was the only rookie interior offensive lineman to earn a higher PFF run-blocking grade than Joe Tippmann in 2023, coming in at 71.3 and ranking 15th among all guards. He earned a PFF grade above 80.0 in four of his 13 starts.

"we need an off season of free agency like the Washington Commodores"

"Washinton signs B Wagner, 33 years old"

"Deebo at 29 years old is too old"

This is why PFF's 'grades' are dogshit worthless.

Sidy Sow can't play. I won't be gaslight by a corporation into believing that he actually can, and my eyes are lying.

in a very disappointing season, I thought Sidy was perhaps the most disappointing player.
I would agree Sidy had some good games to close out his rookie season, with piss poor OL coaching from the left the scenes Klemm.
I had high hopes Sidy would take a nice year two leap.
never happened. he was a better FB than OL-man
is his lack of progress on the player? the evaluation? the staff?

AJ Brown
Christian Watson
Drake London
While I absolutely LOVE AJ Brown’s talent, the more he talks, the more I’d pass. NE is a young team that still has a way to go. AJ is already *****ing online - a few days after becoming a SB champ - about this and that. He’s had tiffs with Hurts, the SB MVP & established NFL star.

There is talent, but there is ego, mental illness, lack of self awareness. Even his history with Vrabel - to me - wouldn’t be enough. I hope NE does in another direction.

Oh snap. Take that, Sidy (if that’s even your real name) !

This board is gonna be dissapointed when our WR haul is some combination of Deebo, Kupp, Tyler Lockett, Christian Kirk and a 3rd round pick.

The money is going to the lines. WR is going to be addressed with cheaper steady veterans.

I guess that you mean that some posters will be disappointed.

thats the market rate for a wr... 15 is below market for a quality wr1... im on board at that price,,, otherwise id rather trade for deebo

gotta work with who is on the FA market, if you don't want to trade... and the pool of what you are looking for is incredibly small...

if you land him in a trade, you wont have to extend him next year... the new contract will be done this year... he gets cash up front, we get the flexibility to move on in a few seasons...

we all do.

me too. not so sure hes leaving cincy though

we need better than polk and baker now. wait and see? fine, wait and see while we add a weapon... adding a guy like deebo wont hurt their development

adams? hes older than every guy you've mentioned, and will cost that 25m a year you think you wont have to pay diggs

Diggs is toast. I would y go near him.

I think we are likely to see a decent vet and a day 2 WR.

If they can get Mathew Golden in the 2nd round I would love that pick.

Well, we could use a FB. Maybe that's where his future with the team is.

Trade targets id be interested in: metcalf, dj moore, olave, garrett wilson(though this one is really a pipedream). Those would probably cost a 2 though, and Wilson would be a 1.
Why do people continue to list Metcalf when he already stated HE DOES NOT WANT TO COME HERE. He doesn't want to live in Massachusetts. We had enough of trading for players who don't want to be here, they become cancers. NO THANKS

Because people are ridiculous, especially football fans

People change their mind. If he’s still adamant about not being able to live in Massachusetts and against coming here at the time of an actual deal being discussed then obviously we shouldn’t trade for him. I just wouldn’t completely rule something out based on something said on some podcast.

I totally agree and feel the same way. PFF is notorious for gaslighting fans into thinking bad players are good. PFF is only useful when you want to win an internet argument.
