Trading For A WR: Who is worth a 3rd and $20M a year?

Hard to say who is available, who would cost only a mid round pick, and then if they fit the cap charge listed. Metcalf probably fits the bill.

Trading for a WR: Who is worth a 3rd and $20M a year?

or $25M a year? or $30M?
==========
Folks may not like the free agents who will be available.

Personally, I think that we can come to agreement with at least one free agent who would provide value.
========
I think a lot of us would like a trade and a free agent.

Perhaps it reasonable to see what Josh can do with one addition and our current group of four youngsters. And then we could get more talent next year if necessary, or even trade for another WR before this year's trade deadline.
a third and 20 to 25 million a year? Thats Cooper Kupp. Its a trade we should be pursuing.

a third and 25 million (or a bit more) a year? Thats Deebo Samuel. That is also a trade we should be pursuing right now.

Deebo is perhaps the better option. Hes younger... but does also have some injury concerns, but they don't seem as significant as Kupps do... though I would have to look into that before being confident in making that a statement instead of a - eh - type statement

Wouldn't it be less if it's a Post-June1st Trade? I'm not sure.
post 6/1 trades have to be executed after 6/1... there's always time for one of the three parties to change their minds ( trading team, receiving team, player)... unlike designated releases which are filed with the league before 6/1

A post June 1 trade allows for spreading out the hit, nor lessening it. From the linked article:

'...if the Eagles traded Brown before June 1, it would result in a dead salary cap hit of around $31.6 million for 2025, per Spotrac. If they traded him after June 1, the Eagles would have around $10.8 million in dead cap space from Brown in 2025 and around $20.8 million in dead cap space in 2026, per Spotrac.'

Looks like a terrible idea for the Eagles.
Unless they fall in love with Abdul Carter.
Who I would just take if I’m the Pats anyway if he’s there.
Pickens if he can be had for a Swap of firsts or a second makes the most sense.

I cant disagree more. Kupp is a slot receiver, which is douglas and bourne's best position. Kupp has played lest than 2/3rds of the games for the last 4 years. He turns 32 before training camp. Receiver's who have his history don't start to play more games after age 32.

Hes going to the Bills,
He’s on social media wearing a bill cap.

That's what I was curious about. I was wondering if Brown wanted out and the Eagles wanted to lessen their Cap Hit in a Trade, if a Post-June 1st Trade would be doable.

Not a fan of going after Pickens. He’s a completely immature mental case, has effort issues on plays where he’s not being targeted, is entirely a 50/50 guy since he doesn’t get separation or run clean routes, is good for some boneheaded penalties because of aforementioned immaturity, and to top it off he’s due a new contract as an impending free agent after the 2025 season. He’s not the kind of player a no-nonsense coach like Vrabel would be targeting. The Steelers are trying to get rid of Pickens, let’s not be the ones to help them out by rewarding them with better draft picks. Let him be someone else’s headache.

Trade targets id be interested in: metcalf, dj moore, olave, garrett wilson(though this one is really a pipedream). Those would probably cost a 2 though, and Wilson would be a 1.
Davante Adams, Kupp,

Others in the mix could include Davonte Adams, Kupp, Samuels, Hill, Lockett, pipe dream would be Chase.

Free agents - Higgins, Hopkins

well then disagree to your hearts content. You are wrong on every level, but eh, thats on you. He's not a just "slot" receiver. Kupp can line up anywhere. And be productive.

People got to get over this "slot" thing... and so what if he is "just a slot receiver" ... He's better than anyone we have on the roster... in fact, based on Kupps production as a 2 - in limited games, hes still better than Douglas + Boutte + Bourne ... If you can't find a place for Kupp on your team, you aren't trying

4th or lower.
He’s too old now and I’m about 42 saying this ugh.
I would do that in a heartbeat

I'm 46 and I'm convinced had we drafted him when I was begging us to that TB12 would still be here playing at 47 lol

Ngl I wanted Kupp on draft day too. And I agree he's much more than a slot guy.

to add to this... McDaniels is back, and so is the E/P offense most likely... One of the hallmarks of that offensive system is flexibility... It does not matter where a guy lines up... they can in in the slot... that can be on the outside... wherever the play needs them... Versatility is key. Don't want a guy stuck in one spot on every play. Makes it too easy for the defense.

yeah, well until the deal is filed, we gotta try.

you won't get a better roster unless you start bringing quality guys here.

Its one thing to say "trade for AJ Brown or Chris Olave"... but those guys aren't available, and its unrealistic to expect those types of moves. Kupp is available.
