its repetitive...like someone made that thread..look for threads that have similar context instead of making 1. How many times do we need to discuss trading Branch? How many times do we have to talk about Edwards? It gets annoying seeing it over and over. I mean our preseason started..lot to discuss but to bring back the Edwards thing is annoying especially when we discussed it and when he is old/overrated
I understand your frustration completely but to get mad at another fan like so.Come on now.The 'lets trade Branch' for a 7th round pick and a bag of nachos is getting pretty old.I'm just sayin Man..lol...

BTW, cut the "newbie" junk. The substance of one's posts isn't in proportion to the date they started posting here. That's just midieval thinking.

If you don't like it, go to another thread. If it bores you so much, how come you are spending so much time and effort in this thread? And if you're going to throw stones at "newbies" don't be a pot calling any kettles black - - OK, bush league? (aside: does anyone else think it's funny that Remix is calling Warren94 a newbie? - he obviously doesn't understand the Christian calendar)

And BTW, your KC Joyner stat on Donnie Edwards was already slam dunked here a few days ago. This ain't rotisserie baseball. Edwards is a lateral, cross the field, run 'em down-type LB. He is there to cover against the long gain. As mentioned - - Ben Watson has the WORST "yards per tackle" average on the Pats after the Champ Bailey play last year - - maybe Watson shouldn't have made the effort.

Donnie Edwards is a central reason why SD had the BEST overall team D against the run in 2005. We could have used him in 2005 making his 4 yard tackles that Beisel and C. Brown were making after 8 yards.

So you're 0 for 2 Remix. You're unnecessarily rude and you're trying to use rotisserie baseball stats in a football context. Go study your Bill James (I mean, KC Joyner) and learn politeness from Larry Luccchino.

Bravo, bravo. Couldn't have said it better myself.

If anybody is judging one's status based on the number of posts made, then you're way off mark. You don't like what the guy said, move on, no need for nasty attack.

Warren, thanks for being classy. People like you make me come back to this forum everyday :rocker: And oh, no, let's not trade Branch, I think he will be back soon. And frankly, after watching last night's game, I am not that worried about our WR situation anymore. Sure, our WRs are weak, but with all the weapons we have around Brady, I think we will be okay. Given that, I don't think the FO should trade him away.

The Patriots don't blink. Unless his name is Richard.

Thanks for the support guys I appreciate it. I honestly felt that WR isn't really a problem. The old BP/BB giants team didn't have great all-star receivers. Heck our first championship didn't have branch, but here's hoping he is in camp soon and if you can't sign him trade him for value.

No problem Ty! Actually, my support wasn't for your point about Branch. I hope they sign him at a fair price for the team and him. I jumped in because Remix was so out of line and rude (and was using baseball rotisserie stats re: Edwards which don't reflect the realities of defensive football - his KC Joyner point about "yards per tackle" was like saying a goal line specialist fullback is lousy because his avg per carry is only 2.1 yards).

"On top of that, Belichick cited Banta-Cain's instincts on a pass play in which he was in coverage. The play went for a 14-yard gain over the middle to Blakley. I thought that was one of the best plays of the game that [Banta-Cain] made and it wasn't even his man," Belichick said. ``The way the play unfolded, he kind of saw there wasn't anybody else there where there should have been, and he just hung with him and I'm sure it looked like to anybody watching the play that he got beat on the play. He was pretty competitive, he was right there to make a play on the tackle. Even though the guy made the catch and all that, I thought it was a really heads-up play on his part."

Now, do you know how relevant KC Joyner is in relation to football?

There's only one Bill James and he works for the Red Sox. Please stop embarrassing yourself.
