I was just thinking about this. The Patriots have 1 first, second, two thirds (one will be very high as it's the Raiders), and other picks

Use some of those picks to trade back into the first, essentially telling Goodell to go shove it!

Think about it, BB's track record with second rounders isn't as good as his record in the first round anyways.

Unfortunately our 2nd round pick is going to be the last one in the round, so we won't have enough ammo for this wacky scheme anyway.

But the Raiders third will likely be one of the top picks of that round, and the Patriots will have another third. What do you think it would actually take to trade back into the back end of the first round? Remember I'm a draft guy

From my calculations it wouldn't take much more than that late second and the Raiders early third. Maybe throw in a sixth and it's a done deal.

Really it depends if the Patriots would rather have a late second and an early third or a late first...

3 picks are better than one in any situation, unless there's a guy the team really loves.

They'd trade for a player not a position. They can consider this on draft day.
