Well, it's a football forum, so you're going to have more than a few hyper alpha-males who never got out of a high school mentality. This is their refuge from that godawful "politically correct" world that they see closing in on them in every direction and they resent even the slightest attempt to bring what they perceive as even the slightest attempt to call them out. Some of the douchier replies in this thread are a predictable result of this.

For the record, I think Dikembe is freaking hilarious. Some of his posts have made me laugh longer than anything in a while. But I'm not going to fault anyone or call them names because that kind of humor isn't their thing for whatever reason.

I can make a very cogent argument about how disliking a post by a guy who is obviously a gimmick poster that brings entertainment for a lot of people seeking to get their heads out of the daily grind for a minute or two is the douchiest thing one can do.
