I love Romo, but 17M is ridiculous, isn't it?

nothing in business is ridiculous

That's wrong on so many levels.

One such level is $17m for an NFL tv analyst.

when has wrong ever got in the way of business? just look at Goodell's NFL tenure for example

If he brings in the casual fan whose not there to only watch their team it's worth it.
There's so much competition out there for viewers of all types of media.
Back in the old days of MNF the broadcast team was as good a show as the game.

Nobody's going to top Madden or Cosell.
Are you just trying to be provocative? Cosell knew NOTHING about football, absolutely nothing. He was the original sh!t-stirring troll of sports broadcasting.

Good for Romo. Wow being a tv personality makes a ton now.

.

Romo's highlight reel is sportscaster-GOAT stuff.

Hopefully, all this new cheddar will persuade him to dial back the wide swaths of disinterest which decorated his broadcasts this season.

Personally I was rooting for Disney to swoop in with the big bucks, transporting MNF to ABC and making it relevant (or at least tolerable) again.

Love Romo. Hope he does some golf color.

$1M/game is the going rate for superstars (non qb)

It seems the NFL is the only thing keeping broadcast TV relevant. In that context, 17m is understandable.

Not a fan. He talks too much. Good for him though. Seems like a great person.

For Romo as a QB?? Hell yes it is.
For Romo as an analyst? He's worth whatever someone is willing to pay

Do you really think the amount of people that tune in specifically for Romo is worth 17 million? That's your answer. Let's be real if the game is good we would watch regardless, if it's not we wont
