Tom would be a fool not to.

I fully expect this.

Anything less is too awful to think about.

The 80s run culminated in the first NYFL team to win 3 road playoff games. That was the Squish the Fish year and if not for a smothering Bears defense it could have been our 1st SB win.
What an awesome year that was. Beating the jets, raiders and dolphins all on the road.

I wonder if they'll have a big ceremony like Joe Montana did...

Didn't watch all of it but that was a big to-do.

Tom's should be that equal if not bigger

Forget this Patriots Hall of Fame wait 5 years crap.

I would like to see something the team has not done.

Retire #12

Make it a banner next to the 6 Super Bowls.

Thanks, because I have an opinion and don't agree with you? You are immature.
Well he can’t sign with the Raiders. He is under contract with the Bucs next year. Retirement doesn’t void the contract.

Brady just now on the podcast: he has not made a decision and will when the time is right once he had a chance to decompress from the season

Brady: I’m trying to do the best I can evaluate every day as it comes and I’ll make the best decision for myself and my family

Brady on whether he wanted to announce it on his own timeline: he was disappointed to have this whole thing seem to overshadow the games this weekend

Will this be the chip on the shoulder that you need to continue playing?
Maybe sometimes what other people say motivates me but most of all it’s to win and be successful. Wanting to be the best for my team.

So Brady is not in a hurry to make this decision. Guess that’s no surprise

Brady is excited for Josh and his new opportunity. Says he works extremely hard and is so smart and prepared. Understands what it takes to put together a winning culture. Deserves it.

No one considers him the greatest basketball player of all time.

Everyone realizes Brady is the GOAT.
Bill Russell was the greatest winner of all time. Because fans with no historical knowledge don't recognize him means nothing. Russell, besides his NBA championships, won two NCAA championships with the University of San Francisco, as well as an Olympic Gold Medal. When you needed to win a big game, there was no one better to have in your corner than Bill Russell.

Burrow sounds starstruck hearing Brady compliment him. Lol

I wanted to make some crack about Brady Stans and realized that it sounds too close to Bradystan, and realized that half of you guys would be flashing your Bradystani passport.

I read somewhere that basically Brady realized the coaching staff is a bunch of idiots who blitzed and cost him a chance at back to back Super Bowls. One would assume that is speculation but I think Arians being a buffoon combined with the cap starting to catch up with Tampa Tom may feel like he doesn't want to play another year at 45 on a team that may take a step backwards.
There were a bunch of this type of post elsewhere on the thread... it's like a funhouse mirror of our Patriots GDTs. When are people going to understand, sometimes even if you like a team, or a player, they're just not the winners sometimes...

EVERYTHING has been done for Brady since he went to Tampa, starting with building him a turnkey operation, then adding his all world TE buddy to it. He is an AMAZING competitor, QB, and athlete, but he didn't win it all (or go to the championship), and that doesn't mean the defense lost it for him, the playcalling was stupid, or the GM didn't get you all the pieces. Sometimes the guy you like loses.

I appreciate the maturity of the thread, not biting at my "never happen" hypothetical. The guys who did had good takes. For the record, I don't want him back either, and it kills me to say it. Even if it were cheap, you'd be burning a very promising guy who could be here the next 20 years.
