Tom Brady more confident than ever in throwing the football

How about this for G.O.A.T.

Tom Brady is not only the Greatest football player of all time but he is the greatest player to have ever participated in sport.

Please, he's not even the greatest athlete to have performed in New England yet.

Cough, cough.....Bill Russell.....cough, cough.......

11 NBA Championships, 2 NCAA Championships, 1 Gold Medal.

Claiming that Brady is the greatest player to have ever participated in sport is ridiculous.

Let's just keep that argument to NFL QB's and he is in the top-5.

I thought it was sarcasm. Maybe it was not lol

.

And he never will be. He could never overtake Russell IMO. I still think Russell is the greatest team athlete ever not named Babe Ruth.

If he says he is more confident now than ever than the NFL should watch out and Dobson, Boyce, and Amendola just need to hop on and enjoy the ride because Tom is going to make you famous.
Edwin Moses won 122 consecutive races (107 Finals) between 1977 and 1987. He was beaten by 2 competitors who were found to be gassing when he did lose in Seoul.

You may need to expand your sports appreciation knowledge a little further. I admire and firmly believe Tom Brady is one of the greatest footballers of this generation, but he doesn't come close to cracking the top 10 in international sports.

For the record, I agree with posters who have put forward Bill Russell as the greatest team sports player in US pro sports history.

Bobby Orr,Ted Williams,Carl Yaztrzemski,Roger Clemens and Larry Bird are no slouches to the claim of Boston legends as well.

Our untested WR corps don't know how lucky they are -- to have Brady throwing to them. Three years ago, Gronk and Hernandez clicked w/ Brady. Here's hoping Dobson, Joyce, Harrison and Moe click this year.

doesn't everyone feel great leading up to training camp?

Yep. He pretty much says the same thing every year. Either he's feeling better than ever or he's more confident than ever.

Well I have made the case here many times for Brady as the GOAT QB and QB is the most important position in the modern game, HOWEVER in my life Jim Brown is the Best FOOTBALL PLAYER I have ever seen and a case can be made for Sammy Baugh who I didn't see as the GOAT Football player Best QB of his era arguable first modern QB, Best DB and Punter of his era, amazing combo.

Hey Young 'uns - He is not, nor can he ever be - even hypothetically with time machines and stuff- the Greatest of All Time. That is Sammy Baugh. Before him the QB was part of a four man back field as a RB who might throw as often as LaDainian Tomlison and he tacitly changed how the position is played.

And for you specially enabled posters bring up Montana's four championships: Otto Graham had a ten year career and ended up in the championship 10 seasons and won 7 of them. (The first four were with the now defunct AAFC.) Did Montana have a few non-playoff years?

I would differentiate between SB era and pre SB area due to changes in the game Graham is in a different category due to championships won in the All America Conference league prior to the Brown coming into the NFL.

Comparisons between Brady/BB and Graham/P Brown are interesting to think about though.
