That's cool that you came back from Iraq any everything. I respect what you're doing over there and I respect the troops. But maybe we can put memos out to all branches of the military and let them know to stop rubbing the fact that they were in the military in our faces. Everyone I've ever met that got out of Iraq lets me know within the first ten minutes of meeting them that they were in the military. Well whoopdee doo! You and thousands of others. I actually respect the people that don't have to immediately let you know that to feel like they're badasses. Makes them seem even more bad ass to me.

And you know something i will still protect your freedom. Nice way to talk about the people who protect you. Don't know how i rubbed it in your face...but ok.

Maybe we should let the whole team skip the workouts. I'm sure that would lead to a great season. Brady is a great QB, but you still need to be with the team working out, this is when teamwork is started. Just because he is a great QB does not but him above the rest of the team. I'm sure the rest of the team would still like to vacationing somewhere but they are putting in the time to make themselves better.So he better not recieve the perfect attendance award, you do not make the time up, that would set a bad example for the rest of the team. As no one is above the team not even the Great Tom Brady.

Grow up. Brady has more than proved himself. No one on that team begrudges him a little extra rest after the pounding he took.

In the real world, coaches give proven vets privileges and the others accept it or take a walk.

To kontradiction there why do you feel the need to attack this person he is doing a couragous act protecting our country and risking his life. I guess it easier to ridicule people then say a simple thank you.

I think his point was that while we appreciate your service, we don't know how it's realative to Tom Brady's work out or the discussion - Of course, I'm speaking for Knotra here and we have had our differences in the past, but I think that what he meant. No disrespect.

Oh, come on. Do you really think Tommy is the ONLY guy not there this week? He's just so freaking high profile everytime he farts it gets published!

Not to mention that the Pat's DO NOT RELEASE the names of the guys who participate AND if you watch the video on the Patriots web site, you can see Tom working out. Check it out for yourself - it may be canned from last year, but that's him.

Thank you. I had no idea where you were going with "I WAS IN THE MILITARY" in this thread. I meant no disrespect hence the two sentences of gratuity in the original post. And as far as the "rubbing it in my face" comment. I was talking about the people that come back from Iraq or Afghanistan and let you know right up front, within the first five seconds of meeting them, that they were in the military then give you this ****y/brash look. I respect people in the military. I don't respect people who are in the military then proceed to rub it in your face. I say this because I have a neighbor that is exactly like this.

Tom Brady out works everyone and has total respect. No one will question him resting his battered body.

Maybe you should email Belichick and tell him he forgot how to run a team. I'm sure he'll appreciate it.

What inside knowledge of total equal treatment are you able to share? He's only been in the game for decades.

Maybe you should actually read some books by coaches like Belichick, Auerbach, Wooden etc. You might be surprised that the greatest coaches treated everyone differently.

One possible reason for Brady's skipping, thus far, of the voluntary workouts:

He couldn't trust himself to face his HC, OC and OL without going apeshyte on their azzes for giving him a lousy gameplan, predictable and unimaginative play-calling, and girlie-man protection. And I don't blame him.

I have no issue with him missing the preliminary, voluntary stuff.

If he wants to spend a month in Costa Rica, then travel to Europe after that then god bless him. It gives fuel to peoples fire to bash him though, especially by mentioning his son such as one of the writers did the other day. None of us know how much time he spends with him or whatever, but you could understand how it gives people the material to write it with him taking such extended vacations out of the country in what would be (as a football pro) the best time to spend time with his son..
