Time to jump on board the 49er victory train

We can still hope for the "dream scenario" the 49ers tie with the Raiders and another team for the worst record, with the 49ers picking first due to their awful Strenght of Schedule and the Raiders picking 3rd in the first round. (That way the Raider's pick in the third round, which the Pats own) would rotate to the top spot in round 3.

Here is the trade vaule chart:
http://www.gbnreport.com/tradevaluetable.html

The #2 pick is worth 2600 points, or more value than the #10 & 11 spots COMBINED!!!!

Most of the time the teams with these picks can't trade them, because they sucked so bad the year before, they need something to spark their franchise.

San Diego traded the #1 pick twice, both times they absolutely robbed the other team:

2001: Traded the rights to Michael Vick (insert dog killing joke here) for the #5 pick (LT), #33 (Drew Brees), plus a third & fifth round pick, and Tim Dwigt.

I think everyone here would take that deal..

2004: traded Eli to the Giants for the #6 pick (Phillip Rivers), a 3rd round pick, the Gaints 2005 1st and 5th round picks.

Bottom line, root for the 49ers to lose, the higher the better!!!

Face it guys, we're in a no-lose situation with the Niners pick at this point. They are the lowest scoring team in the league, and still have to play the Rams later in the season. If the Rams beat 'em, SF will vault over the Rams in position. I predict that pick ends up top 3. Miami is just horrid. But the Jets may be able to pull off a win or 2 down the stretch. They shoulda beat Washington.

But as far as rooting for SF to have a lower pick, that's just crazy talk. I'll root for the teams immediately above them a bit more then I'll root for SF to lose, but Ill never pull for SF. Normally, teams drafting in the top 5 are BAD, DESPERATE teams with no leverage. The best team in the league doesnt usually end up with a top 3 pick. Its gonna be a beautiful thing.

I agree no need to root against SF. The only reason Detroit didnt trade out of the #2 spot last year is because they were strictly looking at the trade value chart. Obviously no team would trade the number 10 & 11 pick for the 2nd pick in the draft.

If we really want to trade out of a really high pick we could trade the #2 pick for a #5-9 pick plus a 2nd round pick.

The days of teams trading every pick in their draft to move up are over but if you take less "value" you can certainly move your pick.

I really think in the end, the Pats are going to end up dealing with Dallas. Theyre sitting on their own very late 1st round pick, which would be ideal position for LB or secondary help. And they have Cleveland's #1 pick, which will probably end up falling somewhere around 20 or so. The points will be very close to matching up. And that Cleveland pick will be a value pick for cap purposes. It would secure a very good player without breaking the bank. And Jerry Jones and Mr. Kraft are very good friends from what I hear, and its been documented that the Cowboys are very interested in drafting Arkansas' Darren McFadden. He's a great young player and Jones is an Arkansas graduate. Jones doesnt mind forking out the big money to players from time to time. So, I really think whatever pick the team ends up with, it may likely get moved anyway.

It's ironic that despite having a top team at the top of its game we can still have the luxury of talking draft! Incredible!

BB will be in a position to take less than the 'points' describe if he wants to get a deal done.

Atlanta just won and Cincinnati just won. They now have 3 wins to SF's 2. Even St. Louis just won #1. I think I still want to see Miami go 0-16 while we go 16-0.
