Time to give props to two of this board's favorite whipping boys - Logan Ryan and Danny Amendola

Ryan should have another good game this week going against Decker. He shut Decker down in 2013 with a better QB throwing to him.

Props to Amendola but Ryan? lol! Come on man this is how he is. Good games, bad games. Let's see some consistency before we give him props. We've seen this before.
Ryan has a 59.29 passer rating against this season so I'm not sure what you are taking issue with, CBs are going to give up receptions the NFL rules make sure of that.

Do you complain when people start threads like these when a guy like Ryan gives up one TD pass after playing well all game and people want him cut? Those threads pop up more than these.

It is ok to actually start threads to give props to guys who did really well in a game.

Easley showed up, after being a zero in the Dallas gameplan. I think the scheme this week was more focused on defending in the passing game, and it looks like Patricia featured him in the defensive front.

Amendola has been quality for a while.

Ryan looked fine, but he did give up a TD in the Luck scramble. Just so long as he continues to work and improve, I've got no issues.

Nobody bashed Amendola more than me in the past but I have to say he has found his role on this team and done a great job since the end of last season. He has a knack for stepping up in big moments.

I never understood the constant bashing of Logan Ryan, nobody ever labeled him the next Revis so I'm not sure why everyone expected so much from him. He is a good #2 or #3 CB with elite ball skills. For a mid 3rd round draft pick Ryan has done just fine in my opinion.
Agree with both sentiments. Does anyone realize Ryan leads the entire 2013 draft class with 9 career picks (next best is 7)? He's also had 20 PD's and only 3 players drafted after him have more combined tackles than his 86.

I'm not calling him a "gem" but a solid hit for the 83rd pick.

Haha, I'm sorry but we've been here before with Ryan. That guy is going to regress and get shredded like he always does. Not buying Logan Ryan.

Are you saying that people do not learn or grow into their roles?

I don't have a problem with your thread. Just stating my opinion.

People have given Ryan a hard time, myself included. Though if you look back at his draft class he's been the most productive corner.

More than props. That was clutch and big time plays. The team needed him and he answered the bell.
He is at Edelman's level of trust for me right. I am never mad at Edelman or Gronk. Dola with this game has been included. He laid out for some of those high balls. Wes were you watching?

Have to give Ryan some credit today. 1v1 mostly vs Marshall and he did his job. Would have expected jets to exploit that matchup much more

amendola deserves major props. I now trust him to make catches behind only gronk , and this is coming from a now former amendola doubter.

I don't think giving up multiple big plays is "doing his job".

I thought Marshall looked frustrated in the second half.

If your #2 CB can hold a legit #1 WR to 4/67. I'll take that every week

If it's against Brandon Marshall and it's only a couple then yeah I would say so.

They used safety help over the top on Marshall, so Logan Ryan wasn't really 1 vs. 1 with him.

Either way, he was his usual up and down self in my opinion. Maybe I'm too hard on him, but I don't feel comfortable with him back there. That said, we could certainly do worse, and I hope to see him continue to progress.
