I mentioned it in my game thoughts thread, but considering all the crap they have gotten on this board the last few years I think Logan Ryan and Danny Amendola deserved their own appreciation thread. Both had excellent games last night.

Danny Amendola had 7 catches for 105 yards last night. When Edelman started to get the dropsies, Amendola stepped up and became Edelman.

Logan Ryan has really brought his game to the next level over the last two games. If the last two games is any indication of his future play, he can be a solid #2 CB in this league. He broke up several big passes last night.

I didn't realize Danny had over 100 yds, but thought he was reliable when his number was called.

DA was amazing again last night. I love what McDaniels has done with Edelman playing on the outside (looking like Steve Smith Sr.), DA moves to the slot where he is comfortable and moving Gronk to the outside in 3 WR sets. When Lafell comes back our offense will be even more explosive

I came on to start a thread that all the cornerbacks played well, but adding in DA is a nice touch.

They both stepped up for us . Especially Ryan given the need we have at cb

Amendola has been dependable since the playoffs started last season. I need to see more consistency out of Ryan, though. Ryan has had solid games like last night before then stunk up the place the following week. Yes, if he can play like that in man to man consistently, he'll be serviceable as a CB2. The question with Ryan has always been consistency.

I would add Harmon to the thread.

Ryan played very well..happy with what I saw as I was very nervous. But having said that he seems to either be on..or off...always hot and cold IMO

i like Ryan but he still has some room for improvement. makes me nervous at times too

This thread clearly violates Patsfan thread discussion policy on 2015 DB's and 3rd-4th WR's... as stated below...

Yeah Amendola really came on late last season and in the playoffs. Not as good as Edelman, but very similar, and a warrior in the Edelman/Welker mode.

Haha, I'm sorry but we've been here before with Ryan. That guy is going to regress and get shredded like he always does. Not buying Logan Ryan.

Can I have some salt for my Danny Crow with a little buttger on the side. We know why they don't dress that other guy. Looks like Danny have his Rams quickness back he was moving well out there last night.

We were in a lot of zone. The announcers couldn't figure out why. We can. Ryan is much better in zone coverage.

Sure, if we play man coverage against a team with 3 top receivers, Ryan will be exposed.

I was specifically talking about when the Pats were in man. Ryan stuck with his guy a lot. Look at the 25 yard run by Luck as a good example of that. Ryan was in his man's hip pocket.
